๐ŸŽพ The 2027 Australian Seniors Tennis Championships are coming to Newcastle! ๐ŸŽพ

We are incredibly proud and excited that Discover Sports Group will be one of the host venues for one of Australia's premier senior tennis events. Welcoming players from across Australia and overseas to Newcastle is a fantastic opportunity to showcase our world-class facilities, our vibrant tennis community, and everything the Hunter Region has to offer.

We encourage all eligible local players to consider nominating and representing New South Wales, and we'd love to see a strong contingent of Hunter Region players competing on home soil. Whether you're playing, volunteering, spectating, or simply supporting from the sidelines, this is an event our entire tennis community can get behind.

Let's show the rest of the country why Newcastle is one of Australia's great tennis destinations! ๐ŸŽพ๐Ÿ’™

It is with deep sadness that we share the passing of Colin Barwick โ€œColโ€, who passed away on 8 May 2026.

Col was a Life Member of the Newcastle District Tennis Association and a much-loved member of the local tennis community. His contribution, friendship, and presence across many years of tennis in Newcastle will never be forgotten.

A memorial service to celebrate Colโ€™s life will be held at Wests Leagues Club, New Lambton, on Thursday 4 June at 2:00pm. We warmly invite all those lucky enough to have known Col to attend and pay their respects.

Col will be sincerely missed by so many throughout our community.

Our thoughts are with Colโ€™s family and friends during this difficult time.

Friday Night Junior Comp ๐ŸŽพ

A great way for juniors to put their lesson skills into real match play. They learn the rules through experience, build confidence, manage nerves, and develop key sportsmanship skills, all while having fun and growing their love for the game.

More matches = faster improvement and better preparation for school and club tournaments.

With Orange Ball, Green Ball, and multiple Yellow Ball divisions, thereโ€™s a level for every player.

Get involved and give your child more chances to play ๐ŸŽพ
