🏊‍♀️ Albany Swim Club Weekend Wrap-Up! 🏊‍♂️

It’s been a fantastic weekend for our Albany Swim Club swimmers, with athletes competing at events in Bunbury and the UWA meet - Perth HPC and plenty of achievements to celebrate! 💙💛

👏 Bunbury competition

* Emerson swam five events and achieved five personal bests (PBs) — an incredible effort!
* Charlie took home at least one medal and clocked plenty of PBs across the other events.
* Charlie and Maddison are looking to have achieved some potential state qualifying times — exciting stuff! 🤩

👏 UWA competition

* Zach Riddell was named a Top 5 Performer of the Meet and achieved PBs in 100% of his events! 🔥

Congratulations to all our swimmers on their hard work, fantastic performances and continued progress in the pool. We’re so proud of you! 💙💛

A big well done to the coaches, families and supporters who help our swimmers shine.

Go Albany! 🦈🏊‍♀️🏊‍♂️

🏊‍♀️ Race Ready in Bunbury! 🏊‍♂️

A great day of racing for some of our Albany Swim Club swimmers at the Race Ready event in Bunbury today!

For some, it was their first time competing in a 50m pool, while others were chasing new PBs — and there were plenty of smiles along the way. 🙌

A big thank you to Anne for coming along and supporting the kids, and well done to everyone who jumped in and gave it a go!

Great racing, Albany! 💙

🏊‍♂️ Junior SC State Championships 🏊‍♀️

What a weekend for our Short Course Junior State swimmers competing at HPC stadium in Perth!

Mason Fourie, Charlie Gledson and Luke Molenda represented Albany, alongside Chloe Barden from Mount Barker.

Across 15 swims, our Albany swimmers came away with an incredible 80% PB rate!

🏊🏻‍♀️ Chloe took home a new PB in the 50m Freestyle!

🏊🏼‍♂️ Mason dropped more than 3 seconds in both the 100m Breaststroke and 100m Freestyle.

🏊🏼‍♂️ Charlie took a massive 13 seconds off his 400m Freestyle and came home with medal finishes in:
🥉 200m Freestyle
🥈 100m Backstroke
🥇 400m Freestyle
🥇 200m Backstroke

🏊🏼‍♂️ Luke topped the time drops, taking an enormous 14 seconds off his 200m Breaststroke!

It was fantastic to see all the hard work paying off in the pool. The swimmers have taken improvements, worked hard on them in practice & implemented them under race pressure — and the PBs speak for themselves!

Just as importantly, they showed brilliant sportsmanship all weekend, cheering on teammates and friends and encouraging each other throughout the meet.

A very proud Coach Anne came home with plenty to smile about. 💙🤍

Congratulations Mason, Charlie, Luke and Chloe — fantastic racing and a brilliant weekend!
