A very special lady who I just met, sent this message to me this evening and it made me tear up 🥹 We always promote the idea of community & togetherness over the concept of bowling itself.

I (Nadine) woke up this morning at 4am with the excitement of a child on Christmas morning! 🎄❤️ though I'm sure I will be paying the price for this by 8pm this evening 🤣

One year ago, we were staring down this exact same moment. We were about to start welcoming hundreds of faces who were mostly new to us back to league bowling for the season — while knowing that some of these people had been bowling at Bowl More Lanes as long as we’ve been alive! 😂

And if we’re being honest… we were terrified. We had fear and anxiety like we’d never experienced before. We wondered if we were crazy. We wondered if the Bowl More Lanes community would accept us. We wondered if we had what it took to bring life, love and community to what must certainly be one of Bridgewater’s oldest and most established businesses.

Would we get it right?
Do we belong here?

Well… after a year of long days, a few sleepless nights, countless hugs and words of encouragement from our bowlers, and more fun than we’ve ever had in our lives … We know, with every fiber of our being, that we belong. ❤️

The fear and anxiety of the unknown have faded, and today there is only excitement as we get ready for what might possibly be the biggest single day of returning league bowlers in decades!

Every league returning today (Wednesday) — Ladies, Seniors & Mixed — has grown by 2 to 4 teams this year! 🎳🙌

That tells us that our message of community, compassion and FUN is getting through. A wise man once said, “Build it … and they will come.” Actually, I think Kevin Costner said that… but I’m pretty sure he’s a wise man, because he was right. 😂

Over the past year, we’ve worked hard to build a place where people can gather, connect, laugh, feel welcome and feel good about themselves, and yes … there is bowling. 🎳

We’re pretty sure a lot of our regulars don’t actually come just for the bowling. They tell us they come for the feeling they get when they walk through our doors. It starts with a warm, friendly greeting… usually followed by some laughs, definitely some fun, and most importantly, ends with a heartfelt thank you for supporting us and spending your time with us.

So, as we head into another season, we just want to say this:
We appreciate each and every one of you. Without you … there is no us.

Thank you for welcoming us, believing in us, laughing with us, supporting us and helping us make our dream of what Bowl More Lanes could be a reality. Here’s to another year! Let’s bowl! ❤️🎳
