Said in a different way- “THIS IS NOT A RACE”

Here’s a polished caption you can drop straight into Instagram — hype, a little cheeky, classic-season vibes dialed in:

The third annual Strade Grigio is HERE 🙌
Classic season is officially underway, and with the greatest gravel race in the world going down Saturday at Strade Bianche, we figured it was only right to host our own version on Sunday.
Will the pace be quite as spicy? Probably not.
Will the après be significantly sweeter? Absolutely.
We’re talking classic donuts courtesy of QUOC and making sure nobody rolls out the door under-caffeinated thanks to Eleven Speed Coffee ☕
Start: BICI at 9AM (arrive early for ☕️ & 🍩)
Duration: roughly 2.5–3 hours - 75km
Pace: at times uncomfortable
Finish: Whistle Buoy- obviously
Beers: optional.
Stoke: highly likely.
Weather: does it matter at this point?
Route: check back Saturday (join the last row Strava group) to be updated
This is our first community ride of the year and we couldn’t be more fired up to kick things off with all of you.
See you Sunday 🤝🚴♂️🔥

SEE YOU FRIDAY?
always a good idea to test out your weights before the main event! This time of the year Fridays are getting pretty full with Christmas parties so we had to get creative, no one loves a pre-Dan ride more than I do 😵. But hey, any excuse to get out with some friends right? Oh, did I mention we’ll be riding parts of next weekends fun ride course…😏
Rolling from switch bridge at 6 AM sharp. So, if you’re like me give yourself a little bit of extra time to be there before 6!
I’ve been told coffee is to follow, Lord knows I’ll need it 🫣

Lots of things to celebrate this Monday. Amongst them, it is fall equinox or the last day of summer(?), I’m not sure – do we celebrate that? If you haven’t heard the exciting news, .cc and have come together to become one amazing shop spreading two incredible Cycling communities between Victoria, Vancouver Island and Vancouver.

Like many of you I am still more than a little bit foggy after the weekends ride. When I decided to start sharing this ride with the public it was with the hopes that it would bring people together for a great day out on the bike.
I wanted The Last Ride to be unlike any other events I’d done and the last thing I wanted it to be was just another race. After 10+ years of doing this I’m confident to say this is anything but a race, and I love that.
Everyone who comes out and respects the spirit of the ride your excitement before and filthy, satisfied smiles afterwards are more than motivation enough for me to start planning the following year… Well maybe after another Last Ride Lager or three!
Thank you first and foremost to my family and friends who volunteer their day so that I can go out and take part in the ride and can have full faith that everything will go off without a hitch.
