Jonathan had a fantastic time in Bristol last week for the annual Turtle Tots Franchisee Development Days!

It was a brilliant opportunity to share ideas with fellow franchisees, gain inspiration from our brilliant guest speakers and leave feeling motivated and excited for the year ahead - working to make our lessons even better! 🐢💦

We feel so lucky to be part of this wonderful Turtle family 💚

Baby swimming classes are not about expecting your baby to swim lengths or learn perfect strokes 🫣

They're about spending time together, getting them comfortable in the water, having fun and giving them lots of positive experiences from an early age 💚

Through songs, games and gentle activities, our baby classes help little ones explore movement, discover the water and begin learning skills that can stay with them for life.

And yes… there’ll probably be plenty of splashing, giggling and cuddles along the way too 🐢💚💦

Not sure whether baby swimming is for you? Come and try it for free! 🐢💦

Our trial classes are the perfect opportunity to take a dip, meet the teacher and experience a Turtle Tots class – with no full-term commitment!

Trials are available for our toddler and pre-schooler classes too! 🥰

Book yours by sending us a message or emailing [email protected] 💚

What do they actually learn before they can swim? 🐢💦

Before children learn to swim independently, they learn something even more important first - confidence and safety in the water.

During our lessons babies and toddlers gradually build the foundations that make swimming possible later on, including...

🫧 Getting comfortable being in the water
🫧 Feeling safe when splashing and moving around
🫧 Learning breath control (blowing bubbles is a big milestone!)
🫧 Developing balance and coordination with support
🫧 Trusting the water - and the grown-up with them!

These early skills might not look like “swimming” yet… but they are the stepping stones that make independent swimming so much easier in the future.

Every child progresses at their own pace, and we keep everything gentle, playful and pressure-free - and that’s exactly how it should be 💚
