WHAT A WOODLAND SKIRMISH DAY ACTUALLY LOOKS LIKE

Never played before? Here's the shape of a day at Merthyr Mawr, so you know what you're stepping into.

You arrive, sign in and get your kit sorted. Rental players are issued everything they need, own-gunners get their kit checked over the chrono. Then the marshals run the safety brief: site limits, eye protection rules, boundaries and how the day will run. Listen closely, it sets the tone for everything after.

Morning games are short and simple. Small squads, clear objectives, plenty of movement through the trees. It's where first-timers find their feet and learn how the ground plays.

Lunch is a reset. Refill water, sort your kit, talk through what worked.

The afternoon gets more ambitious. Longer scenarios, bigger objectives, more emphasis on teamwork and tactical movement across natural terrain. This is where a squad that communicates properly starts to pull ahead.

We close with a debrief, a kit check and a final word from the marshals.

Professional marshals on site all day. All experience levels welcome, from complete beginners to veterans who've played for years.
