ZANA BEKA, CAPTAIN✨
If you think she's an absolute unit on defense, wait until you see her running the ball for a try. Zana plays with grit and fire, so it's no surprise that tenacity shows up off the pitch as well. As our fearless leader, everyone is pushed to their max and no one gets left behind. She's continuing the forward progress of our past Aretians RFC captains and bridging focus and fun to push this team to its full potential.
And after the match is done, she's ready to boogie, oogie-oggie, jiggle, wiggle and dance.
INDIA SUE ELLIS, VICE CAPTAIN ✨
Whether you call her Indie or Sue, her response is the same-big smile, full effort, and willing to help in any way. Her determination and dedication on the field is contagious and you will find her wherever the ball is, ready to scrap and scrum. Sue welcomes everyone to the club and has a knack for welcoming everyone, especially newbies. Fortitude may not be her real middle name, but seeing her tackle and run the ball will leave you questioning why it isn't.
Sue knows best of all that the best thing about playing rugby is the prerogative to have a little fun and oh, oh, oh, go totally crazy.
MADDIE STARLING, VICE CAPTAIN✨
Maddie is a beast in the backfield. She is fast and certainly not afraid to initiate some contact. Her toughness is unparalleled and there's no bump in the road that can keep her down for long. Maddie's pitch smarts at the top of the class and her vision is top-notch. She has high expectations for herself and the team; she's ready to start this season with a bang!
Opponents will be shaking at their knees and thunderstruck when Maddie's on the field. But once she's in the clubhouse, we'll be doing fine, so fine.
