Massive congratulations to one of our youngest club members Laico Purnell who has qualified to play at leamington in the Bowls England finals in the under 24s men’s singles.

Our own Liam White won 3 out of 3 in the Pairs with Ilminster’s Oli Collins.

Congratulations to Team Manager Ed Hopegood and his team on a brilliant result.

After our three week hiatus due to competition clashes our 'A' team were back in Bristol & District League action hosting Weston Bath at Ashton Gate.
Unfortunately the two winning rinks couldn't cover the losing rink!

The men lost at Norwest by 4 in a tight Bowls England club two fours contest, whereas our Ladies were in League action at Henleaze going down by 9.

A disappointing return of 2 points from the trip to Keynsham Bowling Club.

The results from the Somerset County League on Saturday were favourable to both of the teams that were in action.

Our 'B' team hosted Clevedon 'B' taking 11 of the available 12 points in an 18 shot victory!

meanwhile on the other half of the green our 'C' team were playing Burnham on Sea, this match also produced a home win but by a far smaller margin, 5 shots and only taking 8 points, but a wins a win, that's two from two!!

SL 09-05-2026 'C' v Burnham on Sea B

This evening we travelled to Portishead RBL Bowling Club for the first round of the Club Two Fours, where our 'B' teams clashed, our 'A' teams are due to meet on Sunday 17/5 at the same venue!

A tricky surface made for a tight encounter with the visitors finally securing a 12 shot victory over the welcoming hosts.

The evening was topped off with drinks and a selection of cheese and biscuits!
