Have you joined one of our Strengthen classes yet? 💪✨

It’s a little different to our other classes. You can expect a full-body workout on the reformer, fused with strength training exercises using weights.

Our Strengthen classes are designed to help you build strength, improve endurance and leave feeling empowered... and of course, stronger!

If the thought of lifting weights feels a little intimidating, don’t let that put you off. There’s no expectation to lift heavy – you choose weights that feel right for you, work at your own pace and we’ll support you every step of the way 🤍

There are so many benefits to incorporating strength training into your Pilates practice. It isn’t just about lifting weights. It’s about building a stronger body for life. Helping to support bone health, boosting your metabolism, maintaining muscle mass and improving overall strength, so that you can continue doing the things you love for years to come.

Are you sitting at a desk all day? 👩‍💻

Long hours at a desk can take a real toll on your body... tight hips, rounded shoulders, neck tension and lower back stiffness all start to creep in.

The good news? Pilates can help!

Reformer Pilates allows you to build strength, mobility and body awareness through controlled resistance and guided movement. These mat variations are a great way to supplement your Pilates practice at home between studio sessions:

• Plank: strengthens the core, shoulders, and back muscles to support posture and improve overall stability.

• Swan Prep: counteracts the effects of slouching by strengthening the posterior chain and opening the chest.

• Bridges: strengthen the glutes and hamstrings while improving lower body stability.

• Hip Flexor Stretch: releases tight hip flexors while activating the glutes and improving hip mobility after prolonged sitting.

• Spinal Twist: improves core strength, spinal mobility and posture.

Meet Carly ✨

☁️ What first drew you to Pilates, and what keeps you loving it?
I started mat Pilates when my children were small as a way to de-stress and make some time for myself. I then revisited it as they got older as I love the way it makes me feel and as a personal trainer, it beautifully compliments my passion for strength training. Pilates enhances overall fitness and mental well-being and I appreciate how inclusive it is.

☁️ What’s your favorite part about teaching, and what do you love seeing your clients achieve?
I absolutely love interacting with people and witnessing their progress, not just physically, but also in terms of their confidence. It’s very rewarding to see clients grow in both areas.

☁️ What can clients expect in your classes?
Clients can expect a challenge in my sessions, featuring exercises that engage the full body, with the occasional pulse or hold finisher. I deliver these workouts in a fun and supportive manner. I can’t guarantee I will keep count accurately. I’m literally a real-life meme!

☁️ A word of encouragement for anyone taking your classes?
Come give my classes a go! I make them accessible for all abilities, ages, genders, and backgrounds. We were all new to Pilates at one time, so don’t wait, give it a go! Everyone is welcome 🤗
