This is in Round 3 of the Billy Beaumont County Championship.

With the option of entering the RFU league structure, Chelmsford RFC, along with a number of other Essex clubs, have decided to enter the 2nd XV into these leagues.

This has created an extra Counties - Essex league and there will now be both a Counties 2 and Counties 3 division.

Chelmsford 2nd XV have been placed in Counties 2 Essex and will be playing the following teams…

We look forward to hosting some different clubs in the 2026/27 season and travelling to the Islands of Mersea and Canvey! 🏝️

Fixtures are due out in mid June.

With Senior Blueboys and Bluebirds representing Essex on Saturday, on Sunday it was the turn the clubs U17s.

Essex U17s played Eastern Counties at Shelford RFC and were victorious 28-17. Pictured above from left to right are Ewan Pryor , Niall Kelly .kelly15 , Will Brown and Harrison Kidder .isonkiddier ( Harrison played in the two previous Essex U17 games).

With the promotion and relegation ‘play off’ games now decided, Regional 2 - Anglia for the 2026/27 season will look as follows 👆….

Both Blueboys and Bluebirds are looking forward to the ‘Club Awards’ to be staged on Friday 15th May starting at 7.00 pm at Coronation Park.

This sees the celebration of the clubs achievements for the 2025/26 season.

With the regular rugby season now over, we concentrate on ‘representative honours’ for various members of Chelmsford Rugby Football Club.

The U15s squad are well represented in both the Saracens and Northampton Saints age group academies. The Sarries boys are playing at with a 9.30 am kick off tomorrow morning in an inter club competition.

At 12.00 midday Essex U17s play Hertfordshire again at . Rex Choo, Ewan Prior and Harrison Kiddier are all representing the county with their Chelmsford hats on!

Wishing all the U15s and U17s the very best of luck tomorrow.
