A brilliant weekend for the club with both the 1st XV and 2nd XV picking up convincing victories!

The 1st XV put in a strong performance at Blackwell Meadows to beat Bishop Auckland 43–27, running in 7 tries, with Ollie Breeze crossing twice and earning Man of the Match.

Meanwhile, the 2nd XV produced a huge away performance against Middlesbrough, coming away 55–12 winners after scoring 9 tries — including a hat-trick for Anthony Jones. Harrison Scott grabbed two tries and the Man of the Match award.

A cracking weekend for Darlington RFC. Thanks as always to everyone who played, coached, supported and travelled.

🏉 DRFC MEMBER SPOTLIGHT – CHRIS ANDERSON (ANDO) 🏉

We felt it was only right to kick off our brand-new Member Spotlight series with the one and only Chris Anderson (Ando) — Director of Rugby, coach and all-round superstar at DRFC! ♥️🖤🤍

Our Member Spotlights are a brand-new section where we want to get to know the people behind the badge — whether you’re a player, coach, volunteer, member of staff or one of the many people who help make our club what it is.

Throughout the season, we’ll be sharing videos celebrating some of our dedicated and wonderful members and hearing a little more about the people who make DRFC so special.

And what better way to start than with Ando! 🎥👏

Want to get involved in our Member Spotlight series? We’d love to hear from you!

DRFC U10s hosted a combined Barnard Castle/Upper Eden team on Sunday.

A fantastic turnout from our U10s, managing to field 3x teams. We ran two game’s consecutively which allowed maximum game time and participation.

Brilliant teamwork throughout with some great attacking rugby, but even more pleasing was the defence and support play👏🏻. A pleasure to watch and a huge well done to all involved 🖤❤️🤍

🏉 FULL TIME | DARLINGTON U16 GIRLS – W 🆚 REDCAR – L
Another really strong performance from the girls today. We looked cohesive, physical and dangerous, with some excellent rugby from both our forwards and backs.
Strong tackling, a great defensive press and some really slick attacking play when we moved the ball wide. Plenty still to work on, but another big step forward for this group.
🏆 Next up: Selby at home in the National Cup – Sunday 11th October.
Keep building. Keep working. Keep backing each other.
