And another 10k league race down! 🖤🤍

Yesterday, some of us took on Harrogate 10K as part of our 10k leagues.

It was hot, tough and hilly but we smashed it 💪🏻

Well done to everyone who ran yesterday- where to this weekend? 👀

What a brilliant morning we had over in North Yorkshire as we took on Fountains 10k 🏃‍♀️

Featuring a ‘Hill of Pain’ and ‘Puddle of Doom’ and more sunshine than you could shake a stick at! It’s not for the faint hearted 🙈

But we smashed it, with plenty of us taking home age category and overall winner prizes!

Well done everyone! 👏🏻🖤🤍

Music rounds, bingo madness, and a picture round that was devilishly difficult. Can only be one thing- Quakers Quiz Night!

Last night Scott, and his glamorous assistant Emily, hosted our summer quiz night. It was a great night full of friendly rivalries and some brilliant questions.

AND we raised £176 for our charity of the year, St Teresa’s Hospice, so a great result all round! 🖤🤍

Thank you to everyone who attended!

Only 3 weeks until entries close, don’t miss out on this iconic event.

T-shirt colour selected ✅
The route - marshals had some fun yesterday checking the peaty bogs and loved their day out ✅
Supporter driving instructions are still in the files section ✅
Marshals recruited ✅

It is a not for profit event which means we are able to make charitable donations to the Cleveland Mountain Rescue Team and Scarborough & Ryedale Mountain Rescue Teams.

On the day we use Raynet for their radio communication and make a donation to their organisation too. This does mean we are able to keep the entry fee as lower than a lot of similar distance events.

Our marshals are almost all running club people so the support you will get along the way is fabulous.

There are 7 checkpoints along the way stocked with water, sweets, biscuits and usually the marshals bring along their own favourites such as melon, oranges, cake, flapjack etc.

At the midway point the checkpoint at the Lion Inn usually has rice pudding and peaches.

A fantastic Quaker turn out for this year’s Race for Life in Darlington!

The club provide volunteers for marshal points, lead bikes and rail walkers and we have a fantastic number of members providing their time, and smiling faces to support the event.

Well done to everyone involved! 👏🏻

How it started vs how it finished!

Yesterday we had our social pub run, where we ran 6(ish) miles to different pubs around the town stopping for drinks, bingo and games!

It was great to get together and spend a Saturday running and drinking (our favourite things 🤣) and we’re already looking forward to the next one!

The sun is shining, the birds are singing, it’s a beautiful day for a run! 🏃‍♀️

Today, we’re combining our two favourite things, running and pubs and taking on our social pub run.

If you’re thinking about joining a running club, wondering what it’s all about, or just fancy a chat with a bunch of daft runners- we’ll be out and about in various pubs around town today! Feel free to catch up with us!
