🥊 TWO FIGHT DAYS IN ONE! WHAT A DAY! 🥊

1️⃣Muay Thai GB in Solihull with 5 Fierce Muay Thai Juniors Squad & our first adult entering a tournament! Then a mad dash to Bournemouth CFS for Luke’s A-class return.
6am–11pm, 350 miles & 7 fighters.

Here’s the run down👇🏼
🥇.liller was first up out of everyone! He fought hard with strong technique & power to secure the win & progress to the final. Unfortunately, same-day weigh-ins, followed by a quick turnaround for weigh-in & medicals, meant refuelling worked against him & his body wasn’t recovering as needed. We made the decision to withdraw from the final. He still leaves with a win, silver & a valuable lesson in managing same-day weigh-ins.

🥊 stepped into a new age category against a strong opponent. She showed dominance on the outside but gave away too much control in the clinch, losing on points. Plenty to learn & build on!

🥇 kept us on our toes, starting in the next ring while Ione was still fighting! He listened brilliantly, putting into practice the work he’s been doing with Paul to earn a well-deserved win & progress to the final. Facing a super-talented fighter from Ronin, he held his own & took home silver👏

🥇 went straight to the final against an opponent from ALLIANCE MUAY THAI he’d never faced before. The controlled power we’ve been working on came through at a new level, earning him a unanimous decision & GOLD!💥

🥉Drew Haigh faced a tough category, including two lad who represented England at the Worlds this year. It was a close, competitive fight, but his opponent just edged it. After several recent fights fell through at the last minute, we were really pleased to see Drew stick to the upgrades we’ve been working on, even under pressure. Bronze this time, but plenty of positives to take away.

🥈 rounded off the day against a girl she first met on her debut over 4 years ago. A fantastic fight from both girls, showcasing their maturity & technical Muay Thai. Liv just came up short this time, taking silver🤍

HUGE THANKS to MTR High Score Arcades & Event Squared for supporting our Junior's dreams🙏🏼

✅️After attaining the Safeguarding Code in Martial Art accreditation last year, we've successfully demonstrated our ongoing commitment and passed our Annual Health Check!👏🏼

Achieving the Safeguarding Code, demonstrates Fierce Muay Thai’s commitment to upholding its duty-of-care to the community and young people and recognises FMT as a martial arts provider that has reached and effectively maintained good safeguarding standards.

What this means for you:
👨‍👩‍👧 All Coaches and volunteers are DBS checked
🎓 We undertake safeguarding training
📃 We have clear safeguarding and safe practice policies in place
🛡 We're fully insured, with transparent reporting and complaints processes
🤝🏻 Parents and carers can be reassured that we are committed to safeguarding and upholding safe practices

This isn't just a badge - it's our ongoing commitment to providing a safe, supportive, and positive environment for every child, young person, and adult who walks through our doors.

The Safeguarding Code has been developed through close consultation between Sport England , representatives from martial arts governing bodies and those with years of expertise in safeguarding. Support was also provided by the Child Protection in Sport Unit, the Ann Craft Trust and NWG Network. It is funded by the tnluk and was launched by the Sports Minister in early 2018.

You can locate your nearest approved club via the interactive map https://www.safeguardingcode.com/local/clubregistration/map.php

Smaller Fierce Muay Thai Juniors Squad squad outing than usual due to pullouts for a couple of the boys but still representing Sandee Fight Series

🏆Elvie started the day, battled through her nerves, and did exactly what was asked of her, showing her skill and using her strengths to take a dominant win.
🥈Ione followed with what we thought was more than enough to win but sadly it went the other way. Great fight regardless.
🥈 showed grit and determination but his opponents range was working against him, still progress since last year.
🏆 closed out the day with a return to form after a couple of losses.

Thanks to and for coming to support the team 🙌🏼

BIG thanks to our sponsors MTR for kitting the squad out in style and High Score Arcades for covering their entry fees, Event Squared couldn't do it without you🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻

Final thanks to Peter Spensley and team for continuing to give our Junior's the platform they deserve 🫶🏼
