🌟 Members of the Month – May 🌟
This month we’re delighted to celebrate not one, but two members from our “Men’s Reformer Pilates” class - Chris and Simon! 👏 (and what better day to announce this than on Fathers Day to two of our dads)
Both have shown incredible commitment, consistency and determination in their Pilates journeys, and we are so proud of the progress they are making.
Chris joined reformer Pilates with long-term discomfort in his knees. Through consistent attendance, dedication to improving his range of movement, stability and postural awareness, he has started to notice improvements in his knee mobility and confidence. It’s been fantastic to see him challenge himself and continue to progress each week.
Simon came to reformer Pilates with long-term lower back pain and understandably approached things cautiously. Week by week, his confidence has grown as he has challenged himself appropriately, listened to his body and embraced modifications when needed. His movement quality and practice continue to improve with every class.
Both Chris and Simon are great examples of what can be achieved through consistency, patience and trusting the process.
Congratulations gentlemen - this recognition is thoroughly deserved. We are proud to support you both on your Pilates journeys and can’t wait to see what you achieve next! 👏
And a big Happy Fathers Day to all out there today too! Enjoy your celebrations or whatever you may be up to today.

✨ We’re incredibly proud to share that we have been named a FINALIST in the Reformer Pilates Studio Awards 2026! ✨
These awards were 100% client voted, making this recognition even more meaningful to us.
To be one of only 13 studios nationwide to achieve finalist status is something we’re immensely proud of. While we didn’t take the top spot in our region, reaching the finals reflects the passion of our instructors, the strength of our community, and the amazing clients who support us every day. Thank you to our amazing teaching team - we couldn’t experience these moments without you!
This marks our FOURTH industry recognition in just 18 months – a milestone we could never have achieved without every single person who walks through our doors.
Thank you to everyone who voted, supported us, and trusted us with your health, wellbeing and movement journey. Your belief in what we do means the world.
Here’s to continuing to grow, inspire and help people move better every day. ❤️
One of the biggest mistakes people make when they come to Pilates is comparing themselves to others. They look around the room, see someone choosing a different spring, those taking the more advanced layer/option, or making an exercise look effortless, and immediately think they should be doing the same.
The worst thing you can do in Pilates is turn it into a competition. Every body is different. People come with different strengths, injuries, movement histories, levels of mobility, and awareness. What is appropriate and beneficial for one person may not be right for another.
Pilates is not about copying the person next to you or trying to outperform them. It’s about understanding your own body and learning how YOU move. Sometimes the person getting the most out of an exercise is actually the one moving the least, because they are working with precision, control, and awareness rather than momentum or trying to copy someone else.
When you stop looking around the room and start paying attention to your own movement, that’s when Pilates really begins to work. Progress in Pilates isn’t measured by whether you’re better than someone else - it’s measured by whether you move better than you did yesterday.
Pilates is a practice of self-awareness, not self-comparison. The goal isn’t to beat anyone else; it’s to build a stronger, more balanced, and more connected version of yourself.
