Good win from the boys today and our first clean sheet of the season. We were wasteful when in attack and let them drag us into a scrappy game rather than playing good football. However we didn’t really look in too much trouble at all today and still created some key chances. Marks early goal ended up enough to get all 3 points and carry on our positive start to the season well done lads. Isaac who played as a sweeper keeper today didn’t have many saves to make but showed his concentration saving their last ditch long shot over the bar to secure the win. Well done Isaac and that save alone deserved player of the match 👏🏆

On Sunday we travelled the long journey up to potentially title favourites Auckland on the hope to make a good account of ourselves. First half we battled hard after a quick start from Auckland and defended well however we didn’t take our chances and ended up going into half time 2-0 down. We easily could have been 2 a piece and after they scored the third in the second half it fell apart for us leading to losing 6-0 overall. Defensively however I thought we were immense on Sunday. They could have had a bit more help from further up second half due to dropped heads which may have kept the score down but positive praise from the Auckland manager saying we are the best team they’ve played this season and the scoreline didn’t reflect the game. Well done lads we go again Sunday let’s get another 3 points 👏🏆

Just a quick one on the lads to begin with, as coaches going up into a new league unsure on how we would do they have absolutely blew expectations out of the water. 3 wins out of 3 and today was the best performance of them all. They were so solid today as a collective against arguably footballing wise the best team we have came up against this season. We won our battles stayed competitive all game and powered away at the end and didn’t let heads drop when missing a few chances. Another 4 goals is amazing and the number of chances we created was superb but the biggest positive is our only goal we conceded being a worldie. Defensively we have played well this season but still been conceding more than we may have liked and today against a well drilled team they worked so well. Josh was everywhere today and deserved player of the match well done Josh 👏🏆

Today we took on Middleton who dropped down a division from 2 above us last season. The boys started magnificently taking the lead early and not really looking back after that. It went to 4-0 part way through the second half but maybe some complacency let the opposition back into the game. The lads dug deep and got another and the game ended 5-3 to us. Delighted with the result but more that the overall performance was very good and we carry on our good form well done lads. Mark was immense today earning himself man of the match 👏🏆
