St Columb Boxing Club

Tonight we had Archie Scott boxing Marty Davis from Barum Boxing Club on the St Piran’s show in Redruth.

Both lads boxed really well and should be extremely proud of their performances. It was a cracking bout to watch, with both boys making clear adjustments from their previous contest a few weeks ago and showing how much they’ve improved.

Unfortunately, Archie found himself on the wrong end of a split decision, no complaints that's boxing. it was a massive improvement from the last time they boxed, he showed plenty of determination, composure and made adjustments throughout the bout.

Credit to both boys for putting on a great contest.
Im sure they will both meet again .

Great experience for young Maximus!
Solid 6 x 3 this morning with former British Middleweight Champion Brad Pauls

Massive thanks to Brad for giving Max his time, and especially for the advice and feedback after the spar. Experiences like this are invaluable for a young, up-and-coming boxer.

What a fantastic evening for St Columb Boxing Club!

A massive thank you to luke and team Cave Activity Bar for his incredible hospitality and for putting together such a brilliant awards evening for us. You made us feel right at home, and we couldn't have asked for a better venue or host.

It was a fantastic night with a great turnout, plenty of laughs, and some genuinely well-deserved awards.
It's always great to take a step back from the day-to-day running of the club and celebrate the hard work, dedication, and achievements of our boxers, coaches, and everyone involved in making St Columb what it is.

A massive thank you to our ongoing annual sponsors for their continued support and generosity. Your backing plays a huge part in helping us provide opportunities for our young boxers, and continue building something special at our little club. We genuinely couldn't do it without you.

Here's to another year of hard work, good times, and plenty more memories made.
Small club, big ambitions.

A fantastic weekend of boxing for Archie and Freddie Scott, both competing in the prestigious Baram Box Cup — a tough three-day competition featuring some of the best boxers in the country.

Both boys battled their way to silver medals and can be really proud of their efforts.

First up was Freddie, boxing up a weight category against a more experienced opponent. Freddie boxed well eventually losing on a 3–2 split in a bout that genuinely could have gone either way. No complaints fair play to both lads.

Next up was Archie. It’s fair to say Archie wasn’t quite at his best today, but he still showed plenty of heart and gave it everything. He also finished on the wrong side of a 3–2 split decision with a point deduction.

Two tough contests, two silver medals, and plenty to take away and work on. Well done boys proud of you both! 🥈🥈

A massive well done to everyone involved in putting on the event and thanks to Gavin Lane
For organising the event.
