Sometimes a bodyboarding trip leaves a bigger impression than you ever expect.
At our final group meal in Costa Rica, Pat stood up and surprised everyone with a poem he'd written about the week we'd shared together. None of us saw it coming, and it's a moment we'll never forget.

One of the biggest breakthroughs I had came from watching video footage of myself. My weak side looked almost identical to my strong side. It just felt different. That gave me the confidence to keep practising and now it's actually my preferred side for some manoeuvres.

Most bodyboarders never think about customising their leash, but a small change can make a big difference to comfort and fit. 🔧🌊
Filmed on location during one of our Sumatra Bodyboard Holidays, Rob Barber shares a simple kit hack that lets him keep using his favourite leash while adapting the cuff to suit him better.
It is a good reminder that sometimes you do not need to replace your kit. You can tweak it and make it work for you.

What if more kids discovered bodyboarding... simply because they had the chance to try it? 🌊
That’s exactly what we’re working towards.
This summer, we teamed up with Newquay Board Riders to introduce bodyboarding to the next generation by launching the first-ever bodyboard division in their North Shore Pro Cadet Series and donating bodyboards for young riders to use.
The response blew us away.
Within minutes, the groms were trimming across waves, attempting spins, laughing with their mates and asking for more time on the bodyboards between their surf heats.
It reminded us why we all fell in love with this sport in the first place.
We believe bodyboarding should be accessible to every young person who wants to give it a go, and this is hopefully just the beginning. We’re now exploring how we can roll this initiative out to more Board Riders clubs around the UK.
If we can inspire just one more child to fall in love with the ocean, it’ll all be worth it. ❤️
