Ashgrove Rovers 7-3 Crewe Utd

A dominant performance this morning from the boys, with everyone starting to understand their roles within the team and the results are starting to follow. Defensively getting stronger each week, all backed up with Darragh in nets who today was exceptional getting down to the bottom corner to stop a perfectly placed penalty, making numerous other excellent saves and some top drawer catching. In midfield Lorcan and David controlled the middle of the park both contributing goals with some unstoppable direct runs straight through their defence. Jude tough as nails today never gave an inch, Ronan grabbing a goal making it 3 midfielders scoring today. Upfront Luke and Basil both excellent, some excellent pressing both emptying the tank and both grabbing goals.

Man of the match today goes to the big lad between the posts Darragh showing his ability every week now .

Keep up the great work Darragh

What a game. The boys done us proud.

🔴Ashgrove 4 - 3 Brookvale🌑

A fantastic game from start to the very final whistle.

The first half the boys dominated and took a comfortable 2-0 lead with two goals from Henry who was the star of the match.

The foot was taken off the gas and Brookvale took advantage bringing the score to 2-1 going in at half time.

The second half started with Brookvale squeezing and applying alot of pressure but before they got their second goal, Ozzy volleyed home after Henry won a flick on from a cross to make the score 3-1.

Brookvale second & third goals levelling the score, left us all thinking “not again” but Alex never gave up on a through ball which resulted in a penalty when the keeper brought him down.
Henry completed his hat trick with the final kick of the game for the boys to win 4-3

As coaches, we could not be more proud of the boys today. Everyone played their part. Subs again had a big impact in the result.
See everyone at training on Monday evening . Enjoy your weekend 🔴🌑👊🏻

Ashgrove Rovers U17s 3 - 3 Annagh Utd U17s

Daniel ⚽⚽
Noah ⚽

A much improved display seen our U17s very unlucky not to pick up their 1st win of the season.

Despite creating the better opportunities in the 1st half we found ourselves trailing 2 - 0 at half time.

The half time message was just keep doing what you are doing and maintain the same intensity and we should get the rewards we deserve.

The players followed this to a T and 2 free kicks from Daniel that David Beckham would be proud off seen us draw level.

A screamer from Noah from 20 yards out put us 3 - 2 up.

As the game reached the latter stages Annagh threw everything at getting an equaliser and it paid off with the very last kick of the game.

It has been a tough opening few weeks for what is effectively a new team, but the guys continue to work hard and will improve with each week of playing together.

A nail biting finish this morning after the boys going 4-0 up at half time, some brilliant football played in the first half, Jude excellent on the wing, Lorcan hit the net for our first goal and assisted our next 2 covered every inch of the pitch working tirelessly. Basil hitting the net twice, Luke with a brilliant individual goal dribbled round 3 defenders and slotted past the keeper to keep us ahead and bring home the 3 points.

Man of the match goes to Herculano a brilliant performance from the wee man kept their best player in his pocket doing exactly what was asked from him from start to finish.

The boys move clear at the top of the table after today, now we step up our efforts to stay there.

⚽️Well done Hercey keep up the great work⚽️

The boys had an early kick off and dominated the game this morning. Very unlucky not to win today but an impressive performance from the entire squad today. Full of hard work, pressure on the ball, creating chances and playing to the whistle. We go again next week
