A lovely atmosphere at Eaton Park this morning for the 640 people who ran, jogged or walked the course. We were delighted to welcome 91 first timers. An amazing 82 people recorded personal bests. Well done everyone 👏👏

Wendy Dugdale

We’re very sorry to share the news that Wendy Dugdale, a regular parkrunner at Norwich over the past ten years, died on July 21st. Wendy’s family have asked us to let her parkrun friends know that her funeral will be on August 25th at 11.30am at Earlham Road Cemetery.

Phew! It was much cooler today so there was a good turnout for parkrun. 649 people completed the course, including 113 first timers. 30 people were doing their very first parkrun. We hope you enjoyed it and will come back for more. An amazing 96 people got PBs. Well done, all of you.

Congratulations to Adam Ward who completed his 50th parkrun today. Well done, Adam. One of today’s visitors (Roy Reeder: home parkrun Bushy Park) has completed 841 parkruns. Roy brought along a natty gadget (see photo) that displays the tally and the milestones. Very impressive!

Another sunny, hot and sticky Saturday morning at Eaton park. 🥵

A very welcome cool morning for parkrun. We had 509 participants, including 58 first timers. 20 people were doing their very first parkrun. We really hope you enjoyed it and will be back next week. 62 people got PBs. Really well done all of you. 👏👏

Nick Caistor got a shout out for turning 80 and moving into a new parkrun age category. As well as having completed 371 parkruns (all at Norwich), Nick is a regular volunteer at our events. Happy Birthday, Nick! Also, congratulations to Liz Highton, who volunteered for the 150th time today.

We missed our regular Volunteer Coordinator, Mary, this morning. She was busy with a family wedding…. although we noticed Martin (father of the bridegroom) had managed to sneak away from the preparations to add to his parkrun total! Hope the day goes well for you both.

Another sunny, summer Saturday for parkrun. Eaton Park was looking beautiful this morning; thank goodness for all those avenues of trees giving us some very welcome shade. 🥵🥵

505 runners completed the course, including 45 first timers. Welcome to you all. 51 people got PBs.

Congratulations to John Hudson who completed his 500th parkrun this morning. John is a regular runner at Norwich (often with a buggy) and is usually among our first finishers each week. Also, well done to Miria Fazzini (visiting from Brighton) who was doing her 400th parkrun and to Wen Wang and Sue Mills who each completed their 100th. Great achievements all of you.👏👏
