🌑🎯 A very Scottish solar eclipse experience…
Tonight’s shooting started with a safety briefing about stopping shooting if the solar eclipse made conditions too dark.
We needn’t have worried. It got slightly darker than normal, and unfortunately the clouds meant we couldn’t actually see the eclipse.
Because… Scotland. ☁️🤣
Meanwhile, one of our club members in Somerset managed to capture this absolutely amazing photo! 🌒📸
Oh well, the shooting session was uninterrupted - so we can’t complain! 😂🏹
Somerset definitely won the eclipse-viewing competition, though! 🌒📸

A huge good luck and congratulations to everyone representing Scotland at the Archery GB Youth Festival this week! 🎯🏴
We’re especially proud that one of Perth Archery Club’s junior archers is part of the Under-21 Scotland team.
Go Scotland! 💙🏹

We’re certainly being spoiled with the weather at the moment, and tonight was another perfect evening on the range! ☀️🏹
With Stage 2 of the Scottish Tour in Ayr taking place this weekend, a few of our archers were putting in some focused competition practice. Others decided to mix things up with some fun target faces, proving that there’s always room for a bit of variety!
It was also fantastic to see so many new faces, including several juniors, joining us. We hope you all enjoyed your evening and we look forward to seeing you back on the shooting line soon.
Good luck to everyone competing in Ayr this weekend - shoot well and enjoy it! 🎯

A great evening at the club tonight with something for everyone! ☀️🏹
Our coaches ran a competition preparation workshop, sharing tips and advice to help members feel more confident and ready for tournaments. A big thank you to everyone involved in delivering the session.
Meanwhile, the rest of the club enjoyed a relaxed evening of shooting in the sunshine, making the most of the lovely weather.
There was even a bit of creativity on the shooting line, with a couple of members swapping the usual target faces for a dartboard face to add a fun twist to their practice! 🎯

We made the most of a proper summer’s evening tonight - sunshine, warm temperatures and even a skylark providing the soundtrack. ☀️🎶🏹
Knowing Scottish weather, we’re not taking evenings like this for granted!
Some people had the right idea… why stand when you can supervise proceedings from the comfort of a camping chair? 😄
Here’s hoping for a few more evenings like this before the rain remembers where we are!

🌩️ We were keeping a very close eye on the weather for this evening! This band of heavy rain and thunderstorms passed right over Perth, but thankfully it cleared just in time for our archery session to go ahead as planned. 🎯
A few people understandably decided to give it a miss, but we still had a great turnout and enjoyed a good evening on the range. Sometimes you just have to trust the forecast… and hope the weather gods are smiling! 🌤️

What a fantastic weekend for our club! 🎯
We were delighted to have some of our members attend the U21 Open Day, hosted by Balbardie Archers. A huge thank you to everyone at Balbardie for putting on such a great event and giving our younger archers a brilliant opportunity to learn, shoot, and meet fellow archers.
Meanwhile, one of our senior archers was competing at the Bannockburn Clout Weekend and returned with an impressive haul of awards! 🏆 James claimed individual wins on both Saturday and Sunday, and topped it all off by taking home the overall combined platter.
Congratulations to everyone who represented the club this weekend - it's great to see our archers enjoying themselves, gaining experience, and achieving such fantastic results. Well done all! 👏
