A little bit of boring to finish the day.
This will be an engine block for a 100cc vtwin 2 stroke engine.
Follow up on my last post.
I have been making a lot of very small parts lately, watch and clock parts, that kind of thing.
Catching these little blighters was tricky.

This is a part we made for a vehicle testing company.
3d printing is incredibly useful when you want to create complex geometry.
In this case the part has multiple internal slots running all the way through the part for zip ties and jubilee clips, these would be impossible to machine.
Another bonus is that it was made with a 2 day turnaround.

Who doesn't like a nice customer review? 🙂
A customer asked us to 3d model and 3d print a prototype part for them using TPU flexible filament.
Nice job to round off the week.

Prototyping for a customer.
This tiny part has so much going on in terms of geometry, lots of angles, little fillets and a hard to reach radius. Made from EN8 steel.
We got it done though, ready for shipping on Monday.

Urgent overnight job for a local company to get a machine back up and running. The job came in yesterday afternoon and was finished for 5am.
Super tight tolerances such as + 0.0/-0.02mm. EN8 steel.
This type of work seems to be bread and butter at the moment - manufacturers that need a part to get back up and running, keep their staff productive and fulfil orders.
When you need a sub 24 hour turnaround, you can't send the work abroad.
