Twenty years of showing up.

Twenty years of training, teaching, and helping others grow in Ju Jitsu.

Today, Sensei Caleb successfully graded for Yondan (4th Dan), a rank that in many traditional martial arts is regarded as the first true “master” level. It represents not only exceptional technical ability, but also the responsibility to lead, teach, and preserve the values of the art for future generations.

After almost 20 years with our club, Caleb has become a respected leader, an outstanding teacher, and a driving force in the development of countless students. His dedication to Ju Jitsu and service to our club have left a lasting mark on everyone fortunate enough to train with him.

Black Belt Grading Days are always a special occasion.

They represent years of dedication, perseverance, and commitment to the art. Behind every candidate is a journey of hard work, challenges overcome, and the determination to keep moving forward, even when the path is difficult.

Today, every student who stepped onto the mat embodied those values. Their performances demonstrated not only technical skill, but also the discipline, resilience, and spirit that define a martial artist.

Congratulations to everyone who graded for Ju Jitsu Junior Black Belt, Gold Tabs, 2nd Dan, and 4th Dan. You should be immensely proud of what you achieved. The standard on display throughout the day was outstanding and reflected the countless hours of preparation that brought you to this moment.

We would also like to thank our instructors for their continued guidance and dedication, and the families who support our students throughout their martial arts journey. Achievements like these are never earned alone.

We’re incredibly proud of Theo and everything he’s achieved recently. After dealing with some health challenges, Theo has shown amazing determination and resilience returning to both Ju Jitsu and Kickboxing. 💪

Recently, Theo graded in both disciplines — including completing a double grading in Kickboxing to catch back up! 👏🥋🥊

This is more than a grading.

As we move closer to grading day, attendance at training sessions is essential for all prospective candidates.

A huge well done to all of our students who stepped onto the mats today and gave it everything during their grading. The effort, discipline, and attitude on display was fantastic.

👊 It was amazing to watch the confidence grow throughout the day — sharp combinations, strong technique, and determination shining through. You should all be incredibly proud of what you achieved today.

🔥 Gradings aren’t just about belts; they’re about commitment, resilience, and believing in yourself even when things feel challenging. Today, our students showed exactly what the Nippon spirit is all about.

💪 Every class attended, every drill practised, and every bit of hard work led to this moment. Keep training, keep improving, and keep aiming higher.
