After a wet finish to the season, the Lane has been renovated. Thanks to all the volunteers throughout the season and deep in to the winter who spend countless hours on the Lane. There’s certainly no short supply of effort each year.

The 2026 season is done!

The Sunday team ploughed on despite losing usual skipper, Alfie Salmons to a sore knee.

The lads persevered and played the game anyway. It’s what Alfie would have wanted. They took to the field with one goal in mind, get the final LANE BOSH of 2026. There were some emotional scenes as the lads reminisced on some of Alfie’s best sweep shots and moaning about everything. Could they get the win though?

Yes.

Saturday season finished and it finished with a resolute Bosh for the Ones as they saw off Preston Strikers after a sumptuous 146 from Carl Glover. A very wet day on the Lane. September isn’t the kindest to us.

The twos didn’t bosh but did show a kind of grit and determination. Some top blocking.

Laners are out in full force this fine Saturday night in Bamber Bridge. Please, no autographs. Let them enjoy their night.

Sunday Elite XI are on the Lane tomorrow for the very final game of 2026.

Thanks for all your support this year. Fans class as always! If you’d like to become an Elite Bosh Soldier next season, keep an eye out for the post on winter nets.

No Lane Bosh this week but the ones did well to make a game of it after Alfie was cruelly taken from us with sore knee. The lads gave him a standing ovation as he was wheelchaired away. A spirited loss. It’s what Alfie would have wanted.

A big bank holiday bosh yesterday at the Lane.

A day where the forecast predicted no cricket ended with a 7 wicket win for the ones. Twos no game. Some club.

An incredible and close game at this year’s T20. Ben Purvor’s Super Bears edge out Sexy Joe’s Super Bears. The hours after became a blur. Same again next year?

Scorecard and winning celebrations attached.

23/08/2026

A Lane bosh for the twos, while the ones had a forgettable day at the office.

But all focus on the weekend’s main event as the giants of Sexy Joe’s Super Bears take on the titans of Ben’s Super Bears, in a T20 battle to see who will be described the victor in that one.

Spectators welcome as always.

Kick off - 2:30 @ The Lane

THE ROT HAS BEEN STOPPED!

GLCC 2s record a long awaited win as the Lane head of motivation bowls a great over at the death to seal the win. When he was asked what the win meant for the twos, after the game Barney said, “I told the lads, we had to keep going. We did. Promotion is back on.”
