A Lane bosh for the twos, while the ones had a forgettable day at the office.
But all focus on the weekend’s main event as the giants of Sexy Joe’s Super Bears take on the titans of Ben’s Super Bears, in a T20 battle to see who will be described the victor in that one.

THE ROT HAS BEEN STOPPED!
GLCC 2s record a long awaited win as the Lane head of motivation bowls a great over at the death to seal the win. When he was asked what the win meant for the twos, after the game Barney said, “I told the lads, we had to keep going. We did. Promotion is back on.”

The Saturday rot continues with 2 losses, although Sam Whittle scored his maiden 50 for the twos.
The Sunday team won a well spirited affair. Charlie Davies got both his first senior run and home wicket, while Glen Eastham hit his first 50 for the club.

Cricket didn’t go to plan this weekend. Both Saturday teams lose against their respective Coppice sides. The super bears are felled in a final ball thriller against Charnock Richard.
But..
32 of 33 players didn’t allow their day of cricket to be ruined if things went against them.
The darts night raised £280 for the club kitty for further improvements.
Dad and lad got to open the batting for the Super Bears.
Three Mills brothers featured for a first game for the Super Bears.
Many pints were consumed throughout.
