Veda Chanting - Level 3 - PURUṢA SŪKTAM

Have you ever wondered how the Vedas describe the Cosmic Being - Puruṣa?

In the Vaiṣṇava understanding, this Cosmic Puruṣa is connected with Nārāyaṇa/Viṣṇu, the all-pervading Divine presence.
The Puruṣa Sūkta reveals the universe through His cosmic body:

👁️ His eyes → the Sun
🌙 His mind → the Moon
🔥 His mouth → Agni
🌬️ His breath → Vāyu
🌌 His navel → the cosmic space
🌞 His head → the heavens
🌍 His feet → the Earth
🧭 His ears → the directions
And it goes even deeper…

The entire creation is seen as His body. The stars, elements, beings, nature, time and space are not separate from the Cosmic Puruṣa.

The Sūkta then takes us through the mystery of cosmic Yajña - how the One becomes the many, how creation emerges from the One Consciousness, and how all existence remains interconnected.
And finally comes the profound teaching:
“Knowing that Great Puruṣa, radiant like the Sun and beyond darkness, one transcends mortality.”

✨ This is not merely a hymn to be chanted.
It is a journey from the individual to the Cosmic.
From separation to Oneness.
From sound to Self-knowledge.

🕉️ Join my 12-week Puruṣa Sūktam journey
📅 Sundays | 10–11 AM UK Time and 2.30pm IST

Learn the correct Vedic intonation, pronunciation, meaning and deeper symbolism of this powerful hymn - and explore how chanting can become a pathway to connect with the Puruṣa / Nārāyaṇa principle within and around us.

✨ Happy Krishna Janmashtami | Kālaṣṭamī | Kali Jayanti✨

🦚🔱THREE SACRED OBSERVANCES. ONE JOURNEY WITHIN 🔱🦚

The spiritual path is one of the most beautiful yet most difficult journeys we can undertake.

It calls us towards Truth, love, freedom and the Divine - but asks us to let go of what the ego holds onto most tightly:
Ego. Attachments. Desire. Power. Fame. Recognition. Control.

🦚 Krishna teaches us the grace of surrender.

🔱 Kālabhairava teaches us to face fear and release what time will take away.

🌺 Maa Kali gives us the fierce courage to cut through ego, illusion and false identity.

True sādhanā is not always easy or comfortable. It requires courage, discipline and consistent practice.

So keep walking. Keep surrendering. Keep doing your sādhanā.
And when your own strength feels insufficient, seek strength from the Divine.

The path may be difficult - but every step towards the Divine is a step towards true freedom🦚🔱🌺
