🎉 A little late in posting, but our Saturday Social on 26th September was a great night! 🍹🎶

A big thank you to the members who came along to 'The Saturday Night Social' at Southampton Sailing Club.

It was great to see the clubhouse busy, with plenty of cocktails, music and a really good atmosphere throughout the evening.

☀️ Summer Social Success! ⛵

We had a fantastic time at our recent Summer Social, with members, families and friends enjoying an afternoon of beach games, paddleboarding, great food and plenty of sunshine.

It was wonderful to see so many people making the most of the waterfront, catching up with friends and welcoming new faces. Events like these are a great reminder that Southampton Sailing Club is about much more than sailing. We're a friendly and active community with something for everyone.

A huge thank you to everyone who attended, volunteered and helped make the day such a success.

☀️ A Successful Island Harbour Rally 2026 ⛵

A great weekend on the water last weekend!

Our members enjoyed another successful rally to Island Harbour, with cruisers and a dinghy making the trip across the Solent. With sunshine, great sailing and a relaxed evening ashore, it was a fantastic couple of days for everyone involved.

A big thank you to everyone who took part and helped make the weekend such a success.

A huge thank you to everyone who came along to our Open Day on Saturday 20th June!

We had a fantastic day at Southampton Sailing Club, welcoming lots of visitors and getting plenty of people out on the water to experience sailing for themselves. It was great to see so many smiling faces, both onshore and afloat.

A special thank you also goes to all of our volunteers who gave up their time to help run the event. Whether you were taking people sailing, helping with tours, running the barbecue, staffing the bar, or assisting behind the scenes, the day would not have been possible without you.

✅ OPEN DAY IS GOING AHEAD TOMORROW! (20th June)⛵

We're pleased to confirm that the weather forecast is looking good, and our Open Day will be going ahead as planned tomorrow from 12:00pm to 4:00pm.

We're looking forward to welcoming everyone to Southampton Sailing Club and giving you a chance to see what we're all about.

If you're planning to get out on the water, please remember:
🦺 We provide life jackets.
👕 Bring suitable clothing that you're happy to get wet in.
👟 Sensible footwear is recommended.

🍔 We'll also have a barbecue available throughout the day.

When you arrive, please report to the entrance first. The commodore will be on the door to welcome you and get you signed in before you head into the club.

See you tomorrow from 12!

⛵ OPEN DAY REMINDER - LESS THAN A WEEK TO GO! ⛵

Our Southampton Sailing Club Open Day is now less than a week away, taking place on Saturday 20th June from 12:00 to 16:00.

The good news is that the current weather forecast remains well within our operating limits, so we're still good to go and looking forward to welcoming everyone down to the club!

Whether you're interested in learning to sail, finding out more about club membership, taking a tour of the facilities, or simply enjoying the atmosphere, we'd love to see you there.

What to expect:
✅ Free taster sails (weather permitting)
✅ Clubhouse and grounds tours
✅ Meet existing members
✅ BBQ and refreshments
✅ Information on sailing and social membership options

Booking is recommended, but not essential.

A slightly late post from our recent Recreational Sailing session last week... but with the weather we had, we were too busy making the most of it! ☀️⛵

It was a very hot evening for sailing, and great to see members out on the water enjoying the sunshine, building confidence, brushing off the cobwebs, and simply having a relaxed sail in good company.

Our Recreational Sailing sessions are all about getting our members afloat in a welcoming and supportive environment, with opportunities for a range of experience levels.

Another great day on the water for Race 2 of Southampton Sailing Club’s Summer Series! ⛵☀️

With some fantastic sailing, close competition, and plenty of action out on local waters, it was brilliant to see another good turnout for the series.

A huge thank you to the members who took part, helped run the race, and supported from shore.

Whether you're an experienced racer or looking to build confidence and get more involved, our racing programme is open to all members and aims to be as welcoming and inclusive as possible.

Our first race of the season took place this weekend, and it was fantastic to see boats back out racing together once again! ⛵

This year, we’ve brought racing back to local waters around Southampton Sailing Club, which meant some brilliant views from the clubhouse. With the finish line near the club, we were even able to check boats across the line directly from the conservatory.

A huge thank you to everyone who took part, helped organise the race, and supported from shore.
