Forth Valley Fencing Summer Camp - 3rd to 7th August Join us for a fun-filled summer camp at Forth Valley Fencing - perfect for fencers of all levels!

Good News! There are plenty of events over the coming weeks for people to get involved with!

First up next weekend is the brand new Dundee Open in (spoiler alert) Dundee. Enter through their very nice website: https://dundeeopen.com/

The following weekend is another new event - The Summer of Sport Open - which is being held at the University of Stirling sports centre: https://bf.sport80.com/pub/e_locator/events/view/40561

On the weekend of June 20/21st the Scottish secondary schools competition is on, also in Stirling, this time at St Modans high school. This is a fantastic event for all Secondary aged kids: https://bf.sport80.com/pub/e_locator/events/view/40563

Fencing Forge - International Fencing Training Join Fencing Forge for international fencing training, events and high-level camps.

Well done to all our members who competed at international events over the weekend!

Shelia, Andrew, and Roz (who has joined us following the closure of Sancroft Blades) were competing in the Grand veterans Foil, Epee, and Veterans Sabre events at the European veterans team championships in Cognac. Sheila was first up on Friday, bringing home a fantastic silver medal. Andrew and Roz were both competing with their teams on Sunday. The epee got off to a good start, seeding 5th after poules before unfortunately getting overturned in the D.E's, eventually finishing the day 11th. Roz and the Sabre team finished just outside the medal table with a 4th place finish.

At the other end of the age/experience spectrum Jonathan (good keen lad that he is) was competing in both(!) the U17 and U14 events in Sofia, finishing 15th and 11th respectively. A great effort and a busy weekend! We are also pleased to share that he has been selected to represent GBR at the upcoming U14 EFC festival in Italy.

It may seem a long time away but the time to sign up for summer camps is now!

Full days of tactical fencing training, physical and mental conditioning and complementary sporting activities. This camp will be conducted in English and will be attended by keen young Italian fencers who in addition to training with local fencers are looking forward to practicing their language skills.

Roberto and the team from Fencing forge will be here before you know it so be sure to sign up for their Edinburgh camp ASAP to avoid disappointment.

This competition is all about having fun, trying something new, and celebrating the end of the school year with fellow fencers. It’s a great opportunity to step outside your usual weapon, challenge yourself, and go for the Three Weapon Trophies. 🤝

April Epee development event Join us for an Epee only event. U12, U14 and cadets. 2 Poules plus DE’s. Lots of fencing to be had

Well done to everyone who competed over the weekend! It was fantastic to see so many keen young epeeists at our epee development event - a big thanks go to Gav and Sam for helping with refereeing and all the parents for getting kids here.

Andrew and Veronica were fencing at the veterans age group championships in Nottingham, with Andrew bringing home a silver medal in the 70+ men's epee.

Finally Brian, Cara, Cailean and Liza were all fencing at the Dee Fence team event in dundee, with Cailean and Lizas team finishing in third place with Brian and Cara just behind them in fourth.
