What an incredible day yesterday at the Touched by Cancer tournament!

A massive thank you to Ystradgynlais RFC and all of the organisers for putting on such a fantastic, well-run event.

Our team played four hard-fought matches and finished second in our group! We want to say a huge thank you to the Neath Nukes, Cwmavon Cobras, Skewen Valkyries, and Port Talbot Pantheresses for four great games. It was an absolute pleasure sharing the pitch with such a lovely group of women.

Huge congratulations to the Resolven Hillbetties on winning the tournament—you played amazing rugby!

The absolute highlight of the day was finding out that over £54,000 was raised for the Swansea Bay Health Charity. Just wow! Thank you to everyone who supported, donated, and played to help reach this incredible total.

We’re all so excited for this incredible event! It’s an amazing day that brings together 20 passionate women’s touch rugby teams to raise money for an incredible cause and stand together in the fight against cancer. 💪🏼🏈

As a team, we’ve loved fundraising in the lead-up to the big day, and we’re proud to continue supporting this fantastic cause tomorrow. Every donation, no matter how big or small, helps make a difference. 💚

Green Stars Scorpions are incredibly proud to take the field at the Touched by Cancer tournament in Ystradgynlais.

While we love the game, and the unbreakable camaraderie of our squad, our true battle this weekend happens off the pitch. We are playing for the warriors currently fighting, the survivors who inspire us, and those we sadly have lost. Cancer has touched our families, our friends, and our community deeply.

This Saturday, every single touch, every pass, and every point is a dedication of love and solidarity.

After 4 tough group games we faced Bony Ladies in the Final

Both teams played an incredibly fast paced game, real end to end stuff, those kick chases were 🔥🔥

It was a huge team effort for the girls defensively coupled with outstanding attacking play, and great composure

This led to Sharina securing the winning try⚡️👏🏼

After a busy night washing cars on Wednesday 🚗🚗 Last night we held the Scorpions curry night in aid of Swansea Bay Health Charity - Touched by Cancer appeal

A cause close to the heart of so many in the team, and the local community as a whole
