What a way to finish year 11 π Signing off as County Champions after a 2-0 win last night against a talented Ivybridge team. A fitting final after 5 years of great battles between both schools. Super proud of their character to have one last push and they gave everything to make sure the cup stayed with us. Exciting times ahead as we now look at the next chapter with this talented group stepping into our 6th form programme with ππ½ππ½. Last few exams and then see you all at Prom ππ

What a roller coaster of a final π’ , talk about highs and lows of football. With the squad still being added to this morning due to many players not available the day was always gonna be about how others could step up. Very proud of how the boys done and after going 3-1 down they showed great character to get back level as the minutes ticked away. A final push almost nicked the winner before the game finished. Going straight into penalties caught both teams out not knowing this was happening beforehand. The players from both teams had to show courage to step up and take a penalty. Itβs never a nice way to end a well fought game.
It wasnβt our time from the spot kicks and Devonport scored all of theirs to take the cup. Congratulations to them on the victory.
An emotional rollercoaster for the boys and parents but we now have to hold onto that feeling ready for our next cup final after half term and be ready to be on the other side of those feelings ππ½ All the boys worked hard and gave it their all, a special well done to the 4 year 7s who were asked to step up for the final and a big mention to Archie Hudson who lead by example with his goals and performance. Roll on the Torbay cup ready to go again β½οΈ
Always makes me laugh when I see this pop up ππ great bunch ππ½ππ½

Years 7, 8 and 10 Progress to the Semi-Finals
Itβs been an action-packed week of quarter-final fixtures for our teams, and weβre delighted to share that Years 7, 8 and 10 have all secured their places in the semi-finals.
Year 8 kicked things off on Monday with an away trip to Teign School on an exceptionally hot day. Despite the testing conditions, the boys put in a fantastic performance, playing with great spirit and securing a convincing win.
On Wednesday, Year 10 travelled to South Dartmoor Community College for their cup match. After a long break since their last outing, they wasted no time getting back into rhythm. A strong, confident display ensured their well-deserved progression to the semi-finals.
Thursday completed the trio of fixtures with Year 7 stepping up in style. The whole squad delivered an excellent performance, showcasing new patterns of play and fresh ideas with real confidence. Their dominant display saw them comfortably book their place in the next round.
Opponents for the upcoming semi-finals will be announced soon, and excitement is already building as we look ahead to the challenge of reaching the finals. Weβre also hoping Years 9 and 11 can follow in their footsteps when they compete next week.
A huge well done to all the players involved, what a brilliant week of football for the school!

Our Year 9 Netball Leaders helped with the running of a local Primary School Netball tournament at Cockington Primary between Cockington A & B, Preston and Eden Park last week. The girls umpired all of the matches, as well as supported, encouraged and coached. It was a great opportunity for our students to develop their umpiring and leadership skills as well as the primary students who were able to enhance their netballπ

The Year 11 Dancers have today completed their BTEC Tech Performing Arts Component 3, based on the theme βCommon Ground.β This final component challenged students to bring together the skills they have developed throughout the course, culminating in to a full 7 minute performance.
Mrs Aplin is so so so incredibly proud of the effort and professionalism shown by all students. Completing Component 3 to such a high standard is a significant achievement, and they should feel confident in the progress they have made throughout the course π
