What a weekend for some of the lovely people I have the pleasure to coach👏

🐎 A first competitive 85cm round, stepping up confidently from 70/80 out show jumping
🐎 A placing at Solihull for the Cotswold Cup Event
🐎 A junior rider finding her feet over her first few bigger fences at home ready to pop a course together in our next session

Having competed across an array of disciplines myself, produced a large number of horses from unbroken youngsters through to competitive athletes and experienced the highs, lows and confidence knocks that inevitably come with riding, I understand that every horse and rider partnership is unique.

That first hand experience allows me to coach with empathy, patience and a practical approach, helping riders build confidence, develop their skills and achieve their goals, whatever stage they’re at in their journey🐴

I choose to work with a limited number of riders at any one time, allowing me to provide each client with the individual attention, ongoing support and tailored coaching they deserve. My aim is to build a strong working partnership, ensuring I’m available to support you through every stage of your journey as we work together towards your goals🏅

It’s been a busy month for P but she has taken it all in her stride. I forgot how clever mares are during the breaking process than the boys. I think it took about 6 months to teach Rio how to walk in a circle let alone being able to walk, trot and canter in 3 weeks✨

Little break due to the heat and back to it in the aim to get hacking💪

Thank you to the team of professionals we use for keeping my horses on the road and starting this one off on the right foot🙏

Can we also just take a minute to realise that a month ago we were in puffy coats and now it’s too hot to function🥵

What a show! Over the moon with my boys (& Felix and Rio)🫶

BERLIN AZ - back consistently at 120 for the first time in a few years and he is jumping!! Day 1, I saw a bit of a long shot in the jump off section, which at a lower height would have been no issue, a represent and carried on jumping insane. Day 2, foot perfect double clear to finish in 13th. Today, the meaty Grand Prix… 1 rub early on and our nemesis the tray caught his eye to end us on 8 jumping faults. But 1 pole all weekend and 2 little mistakes… I will take all day long🙏

GREENVALE DE LEGENDE - came out the gates on flying form for a foot perfect double clear for 9th in the Newcomers. Day 2, we were a touch wild being in the main ring which meant today we were a touch sleepy for our Grand Prix. His biggest tracks, new to his height and showing some class coming through. Proud!!✨

OREO A - Felix rode amazingly all weekend, Rio jumped amazingly all weekend. Stepped up to their first 105 for 4flts. Huge accomplishments in such a short space of time with a tricky horse and Felix getting back into riding after 20 years off… big things to come🤪

Massive thank you to Emily, Millie & Dani for the team effort keeping the rest of the crew at home taken care of so we can come out and do what we love to do🐴

Head down, eyes onto the next… maybe a miss orange will be joining us before the end of the summer👀🧡

GREENVALE DE LEGENDE - super classy for 1 down in the 105. Really finding his feet now, such a good feeling from him.

BERLIN AZ - foot perfect double clear to take the WIN as the only clear in the 110. He is just on fire at the moment.

I’ve been keeping a secret…

2 weeks ago today, we welcomed Paris to the team🧡

Paris is a 4yo, mare by Arezzo VDL out of a Hornet Rose mare bred by none other than ✨

So yes, she’s infiltrated the boys only jumping club going right back to my mare fan club roots and is the second ‘Imperium’ baby we’ve had on board.

It’s been a while since we’ve had a young’n. So keep your eyes peeled for the ‘Paris Diaries’ as she learns all about the big wide world🌍

BERLIN AZ⚡️ - 3 wonderful rounds over 3 days (4th was a bit warm) in the 110, 115 and ending our show back in the 120 open. A level we both haven’t jumped at in 18 months due to our issues (🦴&👅) he felt amazing, continuing his good form and loving being back over the big stuff. No placings this weekend but a lot of fun had🫶

GREENVALE DE LEGENDE⚡️- delivering the goods with a couple clear & top 10 finish on day 1, 1 pesky pole on day 2 and then went onto jump his first newcomers proving the height was no issue but with the heat we weren’t quite making the distances in the way I would want him to, so saved him for another day🫡 he’s turning into such a dream, proud doesn’t cut it✨

OREO A⚡️ - well a new rider hopped on and produced the goods this weekend. D/C and 3rd out the gates on day 1, 2 good progressive rounds in the middle and ended the show with just a pesky pole in the open on the last day. Who’s this rider? Stay tuned👀

What a show, highs, lows and everything in between…

BERLIN AZ⚡️
A slow start to our show but by day 3 we were away… double clear & 10th in the 1.10 qualifier to qualify for the final. The final on Sunday… 40 starters, jumped clear, 20 in the jump off, again clear… to finish 8th overall! He earnt his lap of honour, he jumped his socks off, worked so hard and I couldn’t be more pleased with him🫶

GREENVALE DE LEGENDE⚡️
Thrown right into the deep end in the 105 package having only jumped 1 before this show… his confidence grew by the day, his jump improved by the day, the rideability improved by the day and he ended the show jumping an awesome but tired round in his final for 2 down. He is becoming the coolest dude and I enjoy every second producing him😎

OREO A⚡️
Not the show we hoped for, or planned for our Rio. He’s grown so much recently and if I am brutally honest I’m struggling to hold together the powerhouse he’s becoming. The moments we got it right, we got it right but we also got it wrong. But hey, that’s learning and horses not being robots. It’ll come together🙏
