WELSH MASTERS 2026🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿

What a show, highs, lows and everything in between…

BERLIN AZ⚡️
A slow start to our show but by day 3 we were away… double clear & 10th in the 1.10 qualifier to qualify for the final. The final on Sunday… 40 starters, jumped clear, 20 in the jump off, again clear… to finish 8th overall! He earnt his lap of honour, he jumped his socks off, worked so hard and I couldn’t be more pleased with him🫶

GREENVALE DE LEGENDE⚡️
Thrown right into the deep end in the 105 package having only jumped 1 before this show… his confidence grew by the day, his jump improved by the day, the rideability improved by the day and he ended the show jumping an awesome but tired round in his final for 2 down. He is becoming the coolest dude and I enjoy every second producing him😎

OREO A⚡️
Not the show we hoped for, or planned for our Rio. He’s grown so much recently and if I am brutally honest I’m struggling to hold together the powerhouse he’s becoming. The moments we got it right, we got it right but we also got it wrong. But hey, that’s learning and horses not being robots. It’ll come together🙏

Massive thanks to for all his help and support. Couldn’t do it without you❤️

Postcards from April Mixed🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿

First one of the year and it was a productive one✅

I always get shouted at for this but it seems I have a bit of a habit of using my first stay away of the year to perfect any issues that have come up in training and make changes which I really should do prior to competing but there we go (sorry habits die hard🤪)

Anyway, it was a super productive weekend and I couldn’t be happier with the boys🫶

OREO A :
I’m learning to put my trust into Ri round bigger tracks where I’ve got a bit rusty from riding my old faithful. We had a fence or 2 each day but I left yesterday being so proud of myself for trusting him, stride searching and not grabbing hold when his engine kicks in. He jumped so well, felt so well and it’s set us up so nicely for the rest of the season✨

GREENVALE DE LEGENDE:
The little legend kicked off his season in style. We had a go at some jump off turns, some paid off, some rolled a pole. But hey that’s jumping. He also jumped round his first 105 in style for a couple of mistakes but ones we know how to correct and how to come back and compete with. He’s turning into such a cool little horse and I couldn’t be prouder✨

BERLIN AZ:
He’s backkkkk🎉 The comeback I’ve been hoping for, after a really horrible accident in August, 7 months off and some narly scar tissue in his mouth to show for it, I honestly didn’t know if this comeback was possible. Day 1 saw him so uncomfortable, unsettled with a bit in but my boy jumped me round for 1 down. I left the ring unhappy, not in his performance but that he was unhappy but still wanting to give it a go. A trip to the onsite tack stand, hackamore purchased and a few ‘are you sure’ comments from the family at the fact I was willing to ride my 17.2 dinosaur without anything in his mouth later… we went back in the ring yesterday after having a bit of a school on Saturday (to make sure I did actually have control) I am over the moon, estatic and frankly in awe of my boy. A lovely double clear to finish us in 10th at his first ever time in the ring BITLESS!!🙏

So that’s our season started, head down and onto Welsh Masters in 10 days💃

Big kisses for auntie 💋

Yesterday we had Laura out for some ridden saddle checks ready for competition season to get underway for the boys. Being young and their bodies constantly developing it’s no surprise that within the 6 months since their last appointment we’ve had to make some changes🤪

Laura has been fitting my boys since their very first saddles when they were broken in and we are still so lucky, privileged and honoured she’s stuck around to watch them grow up (maybe not mentally) alongside us❤️

I couldn’t recommend her more🐴

Sorry to say but we’re going to have to talk fuel prices …

For self drive hire. Nothing really changes. The box comes to you full with fuel and it needs to be returned full.

Advanced warning! The terms and conditions state that if you don’t refuel, we’ll do it but it’ll cost you £3 per litre. So let’s not do that.

Good note! The 3.5t stallion boxes and the 7.5t can all use HGV pumps if there are shortages. The price is the same the fuel just comes out quicker!

For driven transport quotes; we will do shared routes wherever we can but the prices are going to have to go up to cover the fast rising fuel prices. We’re going to change how we quote for jobs to try and keep prices down wherever we can do for you all. But, when we quote it’s all in. No hidden or extra fees for fuel*.

Transport note! We may not be able to run your quote until closer to the date you choose though. If we’re quoting now it’ll have to be for jobs imminently with the rate of the increase.

Please contact your transporters to get any new quotes. Anything already quoted for will be honoured.

At the beginning of this week, we handed the keys to Greenlands over to it’s new owners🌿

Tears shed, memories recounted and excitement looming for this next chapter for me, my family and my horses.

I wish nothing but success, happiness and joy for the new owners of the place which has been my happy place for the past 6 years. And want to take a minute to thank every single person, whether that be a livery, an owner sending horses to us, sponsors, supporters, staff and friends who played a part in the ‘Greenlands Chapter’ of my life🫶

So what’s next for BG Sports Horses? I’ll be making that announcement over the next few days but let’s just say week 1 into our new normal has been a busy one🐴

📍HOME

And just like that… a dream come true✨

After a year of sales, mortgages, renting, temporary situations and a whole lot of stress… over my birthday weekend no less my horses came HOME🫶

Sat writing this whilst watching Jimmy & Derek playing in the field with Bella, Spud & the shets next to me couldn’t mean more than it does. Feeling incredibly lucky to have found the set up with have with my girls literally in the garden and the boys a stone throw away stabled with fantastic facilities to give us the kick up the ass we need🐴

Massive thank you to everyone who has supported us this past year in making dreams come true and none of which would be possible without and my family for being there for me and the ‘hamsters’❤️

So what happens next for us? Watch this space over the next week👀

Here’s to the future🥂

31/12/2025

I would love to fill today’s ‘New Year’ post with a series of highlights of 2025, but in reality it’s been a really tough year❤️‍🩹

With Derek doing a check ligament halfway through the season, as well as Berlin having his ‘tongue’ incident. This year ended what was going to be a really strong year campaigning my team but instead a reroute of loving the horses through their ailments and finding joy in everyday milestones.

So it’s not all been doom and gloom… Spirit has taken to his first competitive year like a duck to water. Rio has secured his spot in the family and is helping me grow daily as a rider whilst keeping those dreams in sight. Bella ends the year healthy and full of life (a far cry from where we have been in some years) and as the clock strikes midnight I’ll be entering my 10th year with Spuddy❤️

What I can say is, I’m ending 2025 with the best horses a girl could wish for and I’m so privileged I get to love them daily, because what a lovely bunch of horses I have.

I couldn’t of got through this year without support both personally and with the horses from; my wonderful family (Felix included), Kate for spending her 5th year with us and loving the horses as much as I do, my wonderful friends and clients and also the fantastic businesses that support me and my little team🫶

So from the bottom of my heart, thank you to everyone for playing a part in my 2025, here’s hoping 2026 is kinder🤞

Let’s catch up👋

Radio silence over here but the cogs keep turning. It’s been a year of halves so let’s get updated as to what’s going on at the moment…

RIO is feeling amazing at the moment. We have been working hard getting our rhythm back together ready to hopefully take on some winter classics🤞

SPIRIT has had a little bit of downtime alongside DEREK who remains off with a ni**le. But this pair of donuts are looking fabulous for it. They’ll be back in action shortly getting fit ready for spring / the end of winter qualifiers in the new year🙏

BERLIN received the all clear last week to return to work after his accident in August. I am sooo excited to sit behind my favourite ears in the whole world again… although I’m not sure I’m ready to sit the famous winter jump bucks… watch this space👀

JIMMY is looking fabulous and Kate is doing such an amazing job on his winter fitness. The best orange pony in the world🧡

Our GIRL GANG (Bella / Spud / TT & Cece) are happy as can be. Bella has a winter spring in her step and the shets are happy causing as much carnage as usual🤪

I’m also really excited by the fact, I have reopened the doors to TRAINING LIVERIES in which we have the lovely HENRY & TEDDY as well as our queen DEVA who is rehabbing from a field accident with us alongside her very loyal mum! We also welcomed LEIGHA last week who is having a fitness boot camp and may be looking for her new best friends shortly, so keep your eyes peeled🫶

I’m very grateful as usual for the wonderful businesses that support me & my team. Especially when I do go silent but there is plenty going on and 2026 is looking up for my wonderful team and client horses✨
