Another monumental effort from Ray.

A phenomenal year from Tatiana. She keeps working hard and the sky is the limit. I'm so proud to be part of her team.

CONGRATULATIONS Tatiana Na - Player of the Year.

Ranked the number one 12U, 13U,14U and 15U girl in NZ, Tatiana won all 4 National Individual 12U singles titles in 2025 as well as number of doubles and 14U titles. At just 12 years of age, she had one of the best records in Women’s Division 1 Interclub (16 wins, 2 losses) and filled in for the title winning TKHP Premier Women’s team winning 3 of her 4 matches. In 2025/26 Tatiana won the Junior Premier Secondary Interclub competition as well as the Women's Division 1 Senior Interclub title. With an impressive record across both Junior and Senior tennis, Tatiana is our 2025/26 Tennis Canterbury Player of the Year.

This award is thanks to all the awesome players we have at Impact Tennis at Te Kura Hagley Park Tennis Club who love the sport like I do, and want to work hard to improve and reach their goals

CONGRATULATIONS Hugo Nurse-Strang – Performance Coach of the Year

Hugo has a passion for coaching anyone who takes an interest in tennis, regardless of skill age or ability but this year it is his performance coaching that has really stood out. In 2025/26 Hugo has coached the Junior Female (Tatiana Na) and Junior Male (Ray Xu) players of the year to National Titles as well as coaching Sakeri Parnell who made the final of the 16U National Individual Championships and won the Christchurch J60 ITF singles title. As well as his head coach role at TKHP, Hugo also contributes to the Tennis Canterbury Player Development Programme and delivers Coach Development Programmes for Tennis NZ.

We are so proud of our TKHP and Impact Tennis squad member Ray Xu for all his recent achievements.

CONGRATULATIONS Ray Xu- Junior Male Player of the Year.

Ray is the number 1 ranked 17 year old in NZ. In 2025 Ray won the 16U National Indoor Singles Title and made the final of the 18U National Individual Singles Championships, narrowly beaten in a nail-biting 3 set final. Ray won the Year 12/13 Individual championships and helped CBHS make the final of the Tennis Canterbury Premier Schools competition and secure third at the National Secondary Schools Championships going through both competitions unbeaten.

It is wet now and the forecast suggests that more rain will come around 3 or 4PM.

Our first term running after school Padder Tennis was a real HIT! So we'll be back for term 2: Thursdays at Wairarapa Cobham Intermediate.
