We are deeply saddened by the passing of former Cricket Wellington Chairman Peter Garty (1 April 1953 – 10 June 2026).

Peter made a significant contribution to cricket and sport in Wellington, both on and off the field, and will be fondly remembered for his leadership, service, and lifelong passion for the game.

Our thoughts are with his family and friends at this time.
