Offshore Academy Session this Thursday

For those interested in offshore racing, safety or even general boat stuff we have the the first of the Offshore Academy sessions this Thursday 1 October from 7pm. The topic for this is Boat Preparation and it's $10 per person (payable on the night, EFTPOS only.)

We'll be covering how to get your boat ready for the offshore season, or even your Christmas cruise across Cook Strait. This session will be interactive with lots of chances to ask those burning questions. Remember - the only dumb question is the one you don't ask!

What a weekend! It was great to have boats put on the water again for the start of the sailing season ⛵️

We are happy to have had a number of our fleet participate in the first two days of the interclub series with Evans Bay Yacht & Motor Boat Club and Lowry Bay Yacht Club.

Let's do it all again next weekend for the opening day of RPNYC 🌊

Pop into the club this Friday, 2nd Oct at 6.30pm, for a free Race Management Course with Thijs!

Let's build on the skills we learnt on the first course night 🎊

The goal of this course is for skippers, crew and volunteers to be comfortable running a race. Last season many people had a great first experience and we would love to help you build on your knowledge 😀

With the new season right on our door step, this course will cover how to run a race from the RPNYC start box. It is a great opportunity to refresh your knowledge or gain new skills.

The course will step through the race preparation, the start procedure and recording/processing of finishing times.

✨️Airship Quiz Night & Club 150✨️

This Friday 25th September | Bar Open from 5pm

After a fantastic turnout and plenty of fun at the first Airship Quiz Night, we’re doing it all again!

- Friday 25 September 2026
- The Wardroom, RPNYC
- Arrive and register from 6 pm

Bring along a team or come on your own and we’ll help match you with some fellow quizzers 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦

Teams can have a maximum of six people, and registration will take place on the night ✨️

We’re also excited to welcome back Dave’s Diner, with Dave serving up your favourite Smash Burgers throughout the quiz to keep everyone's brains fuelled.

There will be prizes up for grabs, plenty of friendly competition and another great evening at the club.

Save the date, round up your cleverest crew and join us in the Wardroom!

Pop on down to RPNYC from 9.30am tomorrow to help out with our Working Bee 🐝

Let's get the Club looking s***k and span before our 144th Season ✨️

In addition to prepping our boats, gear and crew, we're also prepping the Club for the upcoming season.

We welcome anyone who can come give a hand and make the club look fabulous, so by all means bring friends and family. Team work is the dream work!
