Special thanks got to our organising committee, the marshals and volunteers, the competitors, Wayne Gair our Steward, and of course to our long term supporters. This includes Harbour City Security, Racetech NZ, Nationwide Fire, SPCA, Wellington Free Ambulance, Wellington City Council, and others. Also our ongoing thanks to the WMSA clubs for once again collaborating with us to make the event happen. The support that all of our clubs provide each other is a massive advantage we have when making motorsport happen in our region, and staging Alexandra Rd is no exception. Thank you to you all, it is greatly appreciated.
Congratulations to Matt Rule, who took out his first ever win overall, and to all of the class winners and place getters. The competition was fierce, and with only 100ths of a second separating some places it was a thrilling day on the hill.
Look forward to seeing you all at the next one.

Wow, that is a few hair cuts ago. Many WCC mambers were involved in the stunt driving for this film.
A little yellow Mini caused a very big stir in New Zealand on this day in 1981 🚗💛
Geoff Murphy’s ‘Goodbye Pork Pie’ hit cinemas and promptly hijacked the nation’s automotive and cinematic imagination. Fast, funny, and proudly Kiwi, it turned a modest Mini into a full-blown movie star.
Take a spin back to the ’80s with the trailer, an excerpt, and interviews with the filmmakers: https://www.nzonscreen.com/title/goodbye-pork-pie-1981

To all of our motorsport community we are sorry to share the sad news that long time member and life member, John Swan passed away overnight. John was a long time stalwart of the club, not only competing but also holding numerous positions in the club, including being the assistant and later clerk of the course on the Heatway rallies. The forerunner of Rally NZ.
His funeral will be 2.30pm Monday 22 December, at Our Lady of Kapiti church, Presentation Way Paraparaumu. A funeral notice will be published on Saturday.
Our sincere sympathies and thoughts are with Graeme and his family at this time.
