Wow. After Alexander & Baldwin snubbed our delivery to their corporate headquarters of almost 6,000 of your voices in support of saving Pali Lanes, you responded in force.

Hundreds came out in a historic showing to Thursday's Kailua Neighborhood Board Meeting to speak out about the need for A&B to be accountable to the community and what Pali Lanes means to people of Kailua and Hawai'i at large. The Neighborhood Board said they had never seen such a showing in support of a cause since the Board was created.

Alexander & Baldwin knows that they can no longer ignore our movement. But instead of sending an executive with decision-making power over the future of Pali Lanes to attend the neighborhood board meeting to hear the community's concerns, like we requested when we delivered your petitions, they sent someone to spy on the meeting, take notes, and record the names of people testifying.

Since A&B wouldn't send any executives to the Kailua Neighborhood Board to listen to the community's concerns, we're now demanding they host their own public forum in Kailua on the future of Pali Lanes.
