You’re not going to accidentally get super muscular just from training regularly — that kind of size takes a very intentional approach to one's entire life.
(And for the record, if getting bigger IS your goal, we are fully supportive of that! This is for the people who have unfortunately been taught that picking up a dumbbell will make them twice as big overnight.... honestly, how cool would that be?)
But you know what CAN happen? Strength. Resilience. Confidence.

The best way to know where you should be going is to know where you have been. This is particularly valuable for those off days we all have that might have you doubting your abilities. But if you know you've moved a given weight for sets of 10, you can probably bump it up for sets of 6-8. But if you haven't recorded any data, it will be easier to let your emotions dictate what you do. Write it down old-school in a notebook, type it out in a note on your phone - whatever you need to do to keep a record. You'll be so glad you did later.
