The callback for this one was wild!!!
It was on zoom, during a really busy day babysitting tiny humans, so prep and massive self trust is what got me through.
The team were running late so that could have been stressful for me, BUT I stayed grounded because I prepped for the callback with a big focus on The TVC Formula’s pillar of Perspective: The Identity Power Shift.
👉 Which I’m glad I did because, mammamia! This callback was the most intense improv test I’d ever done 👀
But despite the chaos, there were still maaany things I know I nailed because I relied on The TVC Formula tools and turned up as a collaborator who really knew what I was doing even under pressure 💪 — not a scared actor just winging it 😳
I booked the job, they flew me to Melbourne and put me up in a hotel, and these are words from the casting director: “You absolutely smashed it. Worth mentioning you were an absolute standout from the outset, we loved your tape - the role was made for you. Congratulations and looking forward to getting you in for the next one!”
We had the best playful silly time on set (shout out to our amazing director, Angie Bird) while still getting amazing work done — that’s what the Formula helps you achieve: outstanding work + creative joy. 🔥
Those of you who have learnt the Formula will recognise many TVC-specific techniques and choices I made in my OG tape, especially techniques and tools we discuss in The TVC Formula’s pillar of Performance: The TVC-Specific Level Up.
TLDR; always audition with TVC-specific technique and always ALWAYS be ready to really level up in your callbacks.
That’s when your true talent and courage will shine and land you the role. ✨

Last week would have been one whole year since shooting — our hilarious lightening-bolt-straight-to-the-heart film written by directed by me, produced by the two of us, and brought to life by an amazing village! 😍
It’s already won an award and will be screening in Hollywood next year at !
What’s more exciting than any award though is the impact this piece of art has already had — encouraging recovering people pleasers to stand up for themselves, put in boundaries, and look after their precious hearts and minds.
We need your art! Make that magic! You never know of the impact it could have on someone’s life (not to mention the memories made creating a film with your besties). 😍
I’m currently in the process of building and uploading over ten different training modules into The Actors’ Circle classroom all to do with producing your own short film, writing, directing, budgeting, film festival strategising, and so much more.
