This past weekend, we hosted our first annual North Shore Golf Tournament in support of ALS and our community showed up in an incredible way 💙

This initiative was especially meaningful to us, as it was inspired by the recent ALS diagnosis of one of our longtime North Shore members.

Thanks to the overwhelming generosity of our golfers, donors, volunteers and the entire North Shore community, we far exceeded our expectations and raised an incredible $5,500 for ALS.

What began as a golf tournament became a powerful reminder of what this community is all about: showing up, supporting one another and coming together when it matters most.

To everyone who helped make this day possible, THANK YOU! We couldn’t have done it without you. Our first annual tournament is officially in the books, and we are already looking forward to next year ⛳️

‼️ We have some fun news to share! Our CrossFit program is getting a new name and look: CrossFit Lake Hound!

Here’s what’s staying exactly the same:

• North Shore Athletic Club = Home Base
• Your membership, your class schedule, your coaches, your community

This is simply a fresh identity for our CrossFit program that we’re really proud of.

We wanted a name and brand that felt like us … a nod to our Burlington, Lake Ontario roots, and the loyal, hard-working community we have all built together 🇨🇦 🐾

Over the next little while, you’ll start seeing the new CrossFit Lake Hound branding show up around the gym, in the Chalk It Pro app and on our socials. Same great gym, same great people, just a CrossFit name that fits us even better!

ONE OF OUR OWN 🩵🩵

At North Shore Athletic Club, our members are more than just people who walk through our doors to train. They are our community. They are family. And when one of our own is going through something as difficult as this, we come together.

Not long ago, one of our long-time members, Jim Heron was diagnosed with ALS. There are no easy words for a diagnosis like this, and we know this is an incredibly difficult time for Jim, his family, and everyone who loves him. But Jim doesn’t have to face it alone, and he really is representing the definition of an “ALS Warrior” as he calls it.

We’re coming together as the North Shore community to host a golf tournament in support of Jim and the fight against ALS; bringing our members, friends, families, and community together to show Jim just how much support surrounds him.

Although spots have filled for the golf tournament, we’ve got an awesome raffle table with 12 incredible prizes up for grabs! Prizes include top notch Jays Tickets, a box of premium steaks, Dexa Scans, massages, a round of golf at Burlington G&C, a Herc’s gift basket and more! Tickets are 5 for $20, 10 for $30 and 15 for $40!
