We’re officially one month away from the premiere of ’s new series, Below, filmed right here in Newfoundland!

This production was a big part of our 2025 season, with plenty of early mornings and late nights spent on location providing water safety and support for the crew.

After seeing everything that went into it behind the scenes, we can’t wait to finally see how it all came together on screen.

One thing we know for sure... they had some dandy Newfoundland weather to work with! 😂

Last call for cod fishing! This weekend will be the last weekend for recreational cod fishing for a few weeks, re-opening September 27th for a portion of the fall.

While our cod fishing adventure has been popular with CFA's, you'd be surprised at how many locals have never been cod fishing before either! Whether you're just visiting or grew up on the rock, join us on the water and see if you have fisherman's luck while you still can!

This week, we lost our friend and local Petty Harbour legend, James “Jimmy” Kieley.

Born in Petty Harbour in 1945, Jimmy had a deep love for the sea and the community he called home. We always loved seeing him come by, whether it was to lend a hand, share a story, or simply have a chat.

Petty Harbour just won’t feel quite the same without you, Jimmy. You will be deeply missed by all of us here at Ocean Quest.
