πŸŒ‰ A new Senedd petition calling for a new crossing over the Menai Strait has attracted more than 1,000 signatures in less than 24 hours.

Supporters say Anglesey's transport network lacks resilience, with the island relying on just two ageing bridges that have faced repeated closures, restrictions and maintenance works in recent years.

The petition has already passed the threshold required for consideration by the Senedd Petitions Committee. If it reaches 10,000 signatures, it could be considered for debate in the Senedd.

She didn't expect the group chat.
She'd joined for fitness and that was the whole plan. To get fit, feel better and maybe lose a few pounds.
She hadn't factored in the people.

It started small: a few women she kept seeing at the same session each week. Familiar faces, nods and smiles. The kind of easy warmth that builds without you noticing.

Then one of them suggested getting a coffee after a Saturday morning class.

She almost said no as she had things to do (she always had things to do!)
But she went.

Two hours later she was still sitting there, laughing until her face hurt at a table with women she'd known for six weeks.

Real laughter, the kind where someone says something and you don't even know why it's that funny but it absolutely is.

She drove home and thought: when was the last time I laughed like that?
She couldn't remember.

She was 41. She had a full life β€” kids, job, a husband who was lovely but busy, a calendar packed with everyone else's things.

But genuine, easy, no-agenda female friendship? She'd let that slide away somewhere in the blur of the last decade.

She'd been so busy building a life for everyone around her that she'd forgotten to build one for herself.

The group chat exists now. It has memes and Monday motivation and someone called Tracy who always knows exactly the right thing to say.
She's in it and some weeks it's the best part of her week.

If you've been thinking that what you're really missing is your people β€” come and find them.

They're here, waiting. Probably already in the chat.

"I need to run it by my partner first."

Totally fair, we get it, but here's a thought:
When did you last do something just because you wanted to?
Not because it was approved or agreed upon or timed perfectly.
Just because you decided it was good for you β€” and that was enough?

You are allowed to want things for yourself.
You are allowed to invest an hour in your own health and wellbeing.
You are allowed to come and try one free class before you've got every detail figured out.

Come and try it, no commitment and definitely no pressure.

Just you, 45 minutes and a room that's entirely on your side.

First class is free. Message us.

35 pounds.
29 inches.
12.4% body fat.

We've shared Emma's results before and we'll share them again β€” because honestly, they deserve to be shared again.

But this post isn't really about the numbers, it's about what Emma walked away from this journey actually carrying:
Body confidence. Real, lived, worn on the outside body confidence.

The kind you don't get from a magazine or a diet plan or a before and after photo you stumbled across online.
The kind you build, bit by bit, session by session and rep by rep.

Emma did the work: She showed up, tracked her nutrition, she had sessions where everything felt heavy and came anyway.

And she arrived at something that no number on a scale could fully describe; she felt good about herself, in her body, in her skin and in the life she was living.

She went on holiday with her family.

Not counting down to it with dread or dreading the swimsuit or wishing she'd started sooner.

She went, she was present, she was proud and she had the absolute time of her life.

That holiday? That moment? That's the real result.

If you've been telling yourself the number on the scale is the goal, we'd gently challenge that.

The goal is how you feel when you get off the plane and you just... go for it, fully. Without holding yourself back.

Emma proved it's possible and she started with one free class.

What does a week at Habit Fitness Bangor actually look like?

It looks like showing up to a coached session where someone tells you exactly what to do β€” no guessing and no wandering.

It looks like working hard for 45 minutes in a room full of people who are all in the same boat.

It looks like being pushed just the right amount β€” enough to feel it, not enough to destroy you.

It looks like driving home tired in the good way.

And it looks like doing it again two days later because the way it makes you feel is worth it.

That's the whole thing.

First class is on us. Come see what a week looks like for yourself πŸ’ͺ

She didn't look old, that wasn't the problem.

The problem was that she looked tired. Permanently, deeply tired in a way that no amount of sleep seemed to fix.

She was only 37.

And when she looked in the mirror in the morning, she could see it β€” not in the lines, not in the grey β€” but in the eyes. A flatness, a kind of dim where there used to be something brighter.

She'd been running at maximum capacity for years: kids, work, the house. The endless invisible mental load of keeping everything and everyone organised.

She told herself it was just the season of life, that everyone her age felt this way. She believed it too, right up until she stopped believing it.

The moment that shifted things? A friend sent her a progress photo.

Same age, similar life, three kids, full-time job; the whole deal.

But her eyes were different. There was something switched on behind them. Something present and something alive.

"How?" she messaged back.

And that's how she found us.

She booked her free class not really expecting much. She came in low energy and a bit cynical about the whole thing and then something happened in that first session.

She worked hard β€” really worked, the kind that burns and sweats and makes your legs feel like jelly. At the end of it, she stood there β€” red-faced, slightly dishevelled and completely out of breath.

But she laughed.

Not at anything in particular, just laughed.

Because she'd forgotten what it felt like to be in her body. Really in it. Not managing it, not carrying it around and not ignoring it.

Actually in it. That was the moment.
She's been coming three times a week since.

And last month she messaged to say her kids had noticed something.

"They said I seem happier. Not different, just, happier."

She had tears building up in her eyes when she told us, the good kind.

If the flat-eyed, maximum-capacity version of yourself is who you see in the mirror β€” we see you.
And we have something that helps.
