Relax with Jax goes on holiday ✈️🌞
A little glimpse into my time away in Lanzarote recently…sun on my face, sea air, and a proper chance to switch off.
There’s something so powerful about stepping away from everyday life, even just for a little while. We spend so much time pouring into everything and everyone else and forget that we need refilling too.
This trip was all about rest, reset and simplicity. I even managed to read a whole book 📕 (which feels like a huge win in itself!)
If you’re feeling tired, flat, or just a bit “full” from life… let this be your reminder that pause is productive too.

World Meditation Day 🧘♀️
I often get asked… “How do you actually switch off?”
The truth is, meditation isn’t about switching off at all. It’s about tuning in.
To your breath.
To your body.
To the quiet space beneath all the noise.
For me, meditation is like coming home to myself.
In that moment, I choose to pause, take a reset, and gift myself a sense of calm in a busy world.
You don’t need hours, and you certainly don’t need to be “good” at it.
You just need a few minutes…
A deep breath…
And a willingness to sit with yourself 🤍

International Day of Light ✨
There’s something so powerful about light…
The way it softens a moment, lifts a mood, and gently reminds us that darkness never lasts forever 🌅
A little personal share…
Back in 2013, during my yoga teacher training, I was given the spiritual name Jyoti, a Sanskrit word meaning light or radiance 💫
And honestly… it felt like coming home.
Because light isn’t something we have to search for…it’s something we already are.
Even on the days it feels dim.
So today, soak in the light.
Watch a sunset.
Stand in the sunshine we are blessed with ☀️
Or simply close your eyes and find that glow within ✨

Mental Health Awareness Week 🤍
Let’s keep this simple… and honest. Not everyone is okay. And sometimes, neither are we.
It’s easy to say “I’m fine” and carry on, but real strength is found in opening up, even just a little. In saying, “Actually… I’m struggling today.”
Check in with your people.
Listen without trying to fix.
Hold space without judgement.
And please remember… this isn’t just for one week in May.
In the words of Caroline Flack:

Kind to others.
Kind to yourself. Always.
