Thinking of joining a class but not sure where to start?
Our small group Studio Induction Workshops are a great introduction to Classical Pilates, including Reformer, Tower and Mat work.
Whether you are new to Pilates, or joining us with some previous experience, this workshop teaches you how to use our apparatus safely, helps you identify modifications and techniques to make the exercises work for your body, and get to know our teachers in a relaxed environment.
Inductions are essential for anyone wishing to join our Group Reformer or Group Tower classes, and optionally recommended for those wanting to join our mat classes or trying to discover what might be best for them.
We have spaces in our upcoming workshops in May and June. Book online or get in touch for information and bookings

March Teacher’s Day
Love our regular teachers days. A chance for the 3 of us to catch up, check in, and fit in a bit of practice. Our practical sessions during our teachers day last weekend focussed on exploring the Tower work and how we can use variations with purpose to develop key areas, progress in our practice and link what we do on the Tower to our mat and reformer work. Some challenging variations with a little extra spice, we worked hard!!! - at least Lauren looked like she was enjoying herself, or laughing through the pain!! 🤣

Pregnant Mummas, this one is for you!
I am beyond excited for our first Birth In Motion workshop, in collaboration with
Back in summer last year, Sam did a series of taster talks ahead of our Pilates for Pregnancy classes, each talk on a different theme. We had so many questions and so much discussion during our biomechanics for birth talk that we realised this was a key area of need for the women we support. Understanding how positioning can impact labour, finding confidence and trust in your body during labour, feeling prepared to actively birth your baby, and addressing the most commonly asked question “how will I know…”
Since then we have been working hard to create this special 3 hour workshop, combining informative talks, movement, and plenty of tips and tools for you to take with you.
Spaces are limited so advance booking is essential. Book by the end of March to take advantage of our Early Bird booking rate.

Who’s lifting you up?
Classical Pilates is hard! And just when you think you might be getting good, it gets even harder!! That’s why we love it. It’s a continual journey of evolution and progression. Of achieving things that once felt impossible.
So when it’s hard, it’s important you have someone to lift you up and support you - physically and mentally!
As a student that’s what your teacher is there for! For us teachers - well we have the incredible people we are trained by ( did a lot of lifting this weekend!!) and the other amazing teachers around us. It has been an incredible year of learning together with this wonderful group. Having the support of these wonderful women, all cheering each other on, supporting each other and growing together, has been a privilege. You know the world of Classical Pilates is in good hands when you see dedicated, hard working teachers developing their skills and deeply understanding the method, ready to lift and support others. The journey’s not over yet - many more months and hours of practice before our final hoorah in the summer!!
Taking on this bridging certification whilst still working full time to run and develop the studio has been hard, but I am so glad I did it. These next few months will be the hardest yet - Advanced 2 is killer - but I’m ready for the challenge. Bring it on!! 💪

Classical Pilates is designed to be a progressive method, that evolves with you.

Teacher’s Day January
Lovely to end the session with a bit of movement. Teaching practice on the Reformer for our lovely Lauren, whilst Nadine and I enjoyed being taught and treated to some lovely extra hands on stretches from Lauren.
As always, lots of admin as we reviewed our classes, timetables, what is working well and what we can improve upon - but admin is always easier when you are fuelled by yummy brownies from The Stables cafe onsite here at Lavant House!! 😋
Our teachers days help us ensure a consistent approach across our teaching team; sharing knowledge, insight and ideas.

We are really proud of our specialist pregnancy & postnatal classes that are designed based on years of experience and in depth training so that we can best support you at this important time.
Many of our long term clients first came to us through our pregnancy or postnatal classes, and have stayed with us ever since; making our Group Pilates Reformer, Tower and Mat classes part of their weekly routine. Some moved straight from postnatal into regular classes, and others took a little break as they adjusted to new routines before coming back to our regular classes when they felt ready
We currently have spaces in our Postnatal Pilates Foundations classes, and will have spaces available for new Pregnancy Pilates clients from March onwards. With only 4 people per class our spaces book up quickly so advance booking is highly recommended!
