🌊More than just our name links us to the sea 🌊

At Tidal Yoga we hope to give you an opportunity to show up just as you are, and take that energy with you when you leave.

A warm welcome awaits you at the studio, with no expectations but for you to come and enjoy the practice that suits you.

Just like the ocean, our bodies, energy levels & mood changes. And just like the sea, yoga can be calming and quiet, or energetic and strong.

We hope Tidal is a space where you can show up without having to try and be anything other than you are.

Not tried one of Tidal Yoga’s 90 minute classes yet? Why not join .and.movement in the studio tomorrow evening (and every Wednesday) for an extended practice!
🌟
Dee guides you through a lovely breathwork session to start the class, before moving into an asana practice with plenty of variations to choose from.
🌟
Finally, the extra time in the studio means you get to finish the session with a meditation to help focus the mind after a busy day!
🌟
If Wednesdays don’t work for you, we also offer a 90 minute practice with .with.bex on a Sunday morning - Mandala Vinyasa Flow.
🌟
We love being able to offer these slightly longer classes, allowing you to fully indulge in your practice!

🌊 Join Alex in the studio every Saturday at 11:30am for prenatal yoga!

🌊 Alex guides a steady 60 minute sequence with moments of strength and pause to ensure your body is ready for labour.

🌊 Did you know during pregnancy your hormonal changes allow the body to become more flexible in preparation for labour? This is why maintaining strength through pregnancy is important to make sure your joints stay supported.

🌊 Alex also uses these pauses in poses to encourage you to breathe through the challenge, to help you prepare to use your breath for birth.

🌊 We hope to see you at prenatal yoga at Tidal soon - if you’re in your 2nd or 3rd trimester!

🌊 Let’s talk about Vinyasa Flow classes at Tidal Yoga 🌊

🌊 Vinyasa Flow is our most regular and popular class type. Vinyasa classes are all about transitions, moving in and out of poses within fun and creative sequences. These classes give you the opportunity to connect your movement to your breath and build strength in asanas (poses).

🌊 The great thing about vinyasa yoga is every teacher’s style is different, and at Tidal you have lots of different teachers to choose from!

🌊 If you’ve never attended a vinyasa class before, one thing you may hear teachers say is “take a vinyasa”. Of course all teachers talk you through this sequence if it’s part of the class but if you are wanting a few ideas of how to adapt this part of your practice we hope this video helps!

🌊 The term vinyasa translates as “to place in a special way” from Sanskrit. This is why vinyasa classes are often dynamics as the poses within the class aren’t the only focus - the transition between them is important too!
