Congratulations to the Halifax U10 representative side who have won the Yorkshire Junior Cricket Festival. Shout out to our boys and team members Freddie and Luca who contributed throughout the tournament and Freddie in the final with 3 overs , 1 maiden for 8 runs.

Sports Fest is back! After last years’ inaugral event we are back with Sports Fest ‘26. So get your trainers at the ready, limber up, and join us for a day of family fun!

Another milestone in the growth of Stainland CC! It's great to share our progress on social media and keep up to date with clubs around the country, but we wouldn't exist without the hard work of our club members and friends. A massive thank you to all of you - we now field 3 senior teams, 3 women & girls teams, 5 junior mixed, 1 girls only and our very special under 6s and we have some ground breaking plans for the future. We will keep you posted!

Stainland Ladies Softball 1st XI win the league with a comprehensive 76 run victory over Bradshaw. Excellent catches, sharp fielding and accurate bowling, in particular from Player of the Match Lucinda, who took 6 wickets for 11 runs from 3 overs to keep Bradshaw to a modest 238. Stainland openers provided a solid foundation for an explosive innings of 61 runs from Sarah which included 6 sixes and 4 fours from just 18 balls, to give Stainland an unassailable 314 runs total. Well done team, an excellent performance and a superb season.

Pleased to announce Kris Turton will be running cricket camps at Stainland Cricket Club this summer, for ages 6 and above. All abilities welcome.

Kris is a Level 2 coach for England VI and Yorkshire disability cricket currently on a sport coaching degree at Leeds Beckett University.

Last year, Queen’s suffered a devastating fire that caused extensive damage to their clubhouse, changing rooms, gym and squash facilities.

The impact wasn’t just to the facilities, but also to the livelihood of some of our much loved members.

Everyone involved at Queen’s has shown incredible resilience, determination and community spirit. They’re rebuilding, improving and creating an even better future for one of Calderdale’s most iconic sporting venues.

Founded in 1887, just 3 years after our club, Queens has been bringing people together through sport for almost 140 years. Today they’re home to:

🏸 Squash and racketball for all abilities
💪 A fully equipped gym with expert personal trainers

Over the past year significant work has been undertaken to restore and redevelop the club—including brand-new squash courts, upgraded facilities, a modernised gym and the return of their much-loved clubhouse.
