We're grateful for your help all year round, hi-viz heroes absolutely rock 👏🏼

This weekend is a big weekend for the East London running community - the festival of fitness and the Hackney Half are taking place on Saturday and Sunday, and their HQ is our beloved Hackney Marshes.
✨️Good luck to those taking part in either of the events✨️ - do come out and cheer if you're not running.

As in previous years, the car park at the Hackney Marshes centre will be closed to the public, and many of the nearby roads may have additional restrictions - please check ahead if you're planning to drive. Toilets should still be accessible to the public.

Most importantly - parkrun is on as normal💚, but the Marshes may look a bit busier than our usual sleepy Saturday morning vibes.

Our roster for this weekend is looking great, but if you still want to volunteer this Saturday (or the following weeks) - please drop us a line either here or on [email protected]🙏🏼.

Well it turned out to be a lovely Easter Saturday on the marshes ☀️

Still on our charge of course due to the works in the path 🔩

A massive thank you to a fantastic bunch of pacers helping achieve 51 PB’s 🎉

All of it is only made possible by our fabulous band of volunteers, who make this event happen every week, the biggest thank you , You were all amazing. 💜 💜

We had 368 people who start their Easter Saturday with us and 81 first timers 🙌

🚨🚨Due to resurfacing work we are operating a temporary course this week. Runners will leave the path early and enter the marsh at cut-through A and run along the inside of the treeline (reverse of normal direction) to the usual turnaround point at B.🚨🚨
Then return back the way you came (normal direction but running to the right of runners coming the other way and exit the marsh back to the path on the normal return cut-through at C. We are now looking for another 1-2 marshals to help direct runners and keep everyone safe, 🦺please email us at [email protected] if you can help!

We are on for this Saturday but need quite a lot of volunteers in order to make it happen
