What a way to start August ! ☀️🥵

A huge well done to the 475 people who started their Saturday with us at Hackney Marshes parkrun! 🙌

Congratulations to Jack & Ellie, who joined us this morning before heading off to Hackney Town Hall to get married! 💍🎉 Wishing you both a lifetime of happiness.

A warm welcome to the 107 first-time visitors, and a massive congratulations to the 66 people who achieved a PB in those tough conditions. A big thank you to our fantastic pacers! 💪

As always, our biggest thanks go to our amazing volunteers. You make parkrun possible every single week, and we couldn’t do it without you. 💜

🫡Signing off on event #769 at Hackney Marshes:

Another bright and hot morning, with our grass looking more like dunes - will tonight's promised rain rejuvinate our fields?

Nevertheless, alongside our hi-viz pinks, we had plenty of jades (and blue) with local running club providing the vast majority of today's volunteers as part of their annual takeover🎽.

After last week's bumper week, we had a modest 440 runners, joggers, and walkers - 99 first time visitors to Hackney Marshesa, 20 of who completed their first parkrun, and an impressive 46 bagged PBs. And we must give special mention to our "pupwalker" Aspen 🐶🥹

We had an amazing 473 people who started their Scorching Saturday with us🙌

Massive congratulations to Paul and Ivy. Regulars in the marshes who joined us today after getting married yesterday 🎊

Welcome to the 108 people who joined us at Hackney or at parkrun for the first time hope you enjoyed it and congratulations to a massive 49 people who received personal bests in the heat 😎

All of it is only made possible by our fabulous band of volunteers, who make this event happen every week, the biggest thank you , You were all amazing. 💜 💜

📣Rounding up event #764 at hackney Marshes:

A warm and muggy morning on the marshes brought out 428 runners, joggers, and walkers; and 25 volunteers this morning.

We had 91 first timers to the marshes - including 15 people who completed their very first parkrun, and 35 people got brand new PBs despite the heat!
