A growing club for Backgammon beginners and enthusiasts throughout Worcester and beyond Backgammon is often referred to as the ‘World’s cruellest game’.

This is partly because of the chance element and partly due to other elements involved in the mastery of the game. Without overcomplicating it, you can be number one in the world with the lowest error rate in play and still loose to a novice player. This is the thrill and excitement that makes the game so compulsive and yet, frustrating. Some would care to suggest it is all luck, but that is a foo

The all woman final at the Easter Bunny Bash was between Alex Ward and Tracy Robinson. In a wonderful all Midland final the ladies played some great backgammon at the end of a VERY long day. In the end Tracy managed to weave her way to the final point! Well done Tracy and commiserations to Alex a very worthy opponent! Well done to all! That is all from the Easter Bunny Bash. This tournament has been full with waiting list in effect. The directors made the decision to move from 40 players to 48 players because of the number of players who wanted to join us for this Easter backgammon extravaganza.

Sadly a few have chosen to pull out at the last moment leaving us short of a few players to make a full tournament.

This position is not unknown amongst tournament directors, but does cause a lot of headaches and reworked spreadsheets. Then tournament directors get blamed because someone has to wait a while for their next game. So it is all a bit of a double whammy for TD's.

At the moment we are three player short when we have been oversubscribed for months. So if you fancy an eggciting time over Easter please come and join us!
