Another wonderfully busy day at the Lovejoy Day Centre! ❤️
Today was certainly a full-on day, with lots going on from beginning to end! Our activities included reminiscence, puzzles, brain aerobics, quizzes, reminiscence Snakes & Ladders, colouring and other creative activities, alongside plenty of conversation, laughter and good old-fashioned socialising.
It was lovely to see everyone getting involved in their own way. Some activities encouraged concentration and problem-solving, others brought back memories and started conversations, and some were simply great fun!
What makes days like today so special isn't just what we do — it's the companionship, encouragement, interaction and sense of belonging that happens around the table.
A very rich and successful day, with everyone engaging so well and enjoying being together. This is what the Lovejoy Day Centre is all about — keeping minds active, encouraging connection and making lovely memories together.
Well done everyone — another smashing day! ❤️

A lovely day at the Lovejoy Centre! ❤️
What a full and happy day we’ve had today, with plenty of laughter, conversation, reminiscence and, most importantly, friendship and connection.
We spent the morning enjoying reminiscence activities and jigsaw puzzles, with lots of chatting and memories being shared around the tables. We also had not one but two birthdays to celebrate — Susan and John! 🎂 Both received some lovely gifts that we knew they would enjoy, and of course there was birthday cake and a good celebration together.
This afternoon we got creative with colouring and leaf rubbing, preparing some lovely autumnal pieces for our display. Everyone could take part at their own pace, and it was wonderful to see people so engrossed in their creations.
We were also delighted to welcome Denny for his first day with us. He settled in beautifully, joined in and had a really good day. A very big Lovejoy Centre welcome to Denny — we’re so pleased to have you with us.
Days like today are what the Lovejoy Centre is all about: people spending time together, being included, staying engaged, sharing memories, laughing, creating and enjoying one another’s company.
Lots of smiles, lots of activity and lots of love. Another very special Lovejoy Centre day. ❤️

What a wonderful day we’ve had at the Lovejoy Centre!
Today was certainly a day for celebrating as we wished a very Happy Birthday to Katrina, Sylvia, Val and our lovely Roz — four birthdays all within days of each other! Each of our birthday ladies received flowers or a beautiful flowering plant, and of course there was plenty of delicious birthday cake to share around.
Our day was filled with all the things we love at Lovejoy — puzzles, colouring, reminiscence, conversation, laughter and simply enjoying one another’s company. It was also lovely to see Katrina knitting today. Something as familiar as knitting can bring back so many memories and naturally open up wonderful conversations about years gone by. That is reminiscence at its best — not forced, but simply happening through shared experiences and familiar activities.
We also welcomed a lovely gentleman for a taster session today, which went extremely well, and we’re delighted that he will be joining our Lovejoy family from next week.
Looking around the room today and seeing everyone busy, talking, smiling and enjoying being together was just lovely. This is what Lovejoy is all about — friendship, fellowship, memories, laughter and making sure that everyone has something to celebrate.
Happy Birthday again to Katrina, Sylvia, Val and Roz. We hope you all felt thoroughly celebrated today! ❤️

Another lovely day at the Lovejoy Centre!
We’ve had such an enjoyable and busy day together today. Our morning included puzzles, reminiscence, conversation and a good old singalong, with everyone getting involved and enjoying time together.
After lunch it was time to get creative! We enjoyed an arts and crafts afternoon, colouring and decorating wooden bird ornaments and creating some wonderfully colourful picture frames. Everyone put their own individual touch on their creations, and we had some fantastic finished results!
It was lovely to see everyone so engaged, chatting, laughing and enjoying the activities together. Sometimes it’s the simple things — sitting around a table, being creative and enjoying good company — that make for the nicest days.
Another happy day of friendship, creativity and making memories at the Lovejoy Centre. ❤️
