Our regular York Swimming Academy classes are now officially finished for the summer holidays! We hope all our swimmers have an amazing break, and we can’t wait to see you back in the pool for our usual lessons from 1st September. 🏊

Sometimes the biggest milestones begin with the smallest skills.

Something as simple as learning to blow bubbles might not seem like a huge achievement, but it's one of the most important foundations in learning to swim.
It teaches children to control their breathing, feel comfortable with their face in the water, and stay relaxed—all skills that make learning strokes much easier as they progress.

That's why we celebrate every little win at York Swimming Academy. Because every confident swimmer starts with the basics, and those tiny achievements soon grow into big ones.

Caught in the Act is our way of recognising and celebrating the amazing members of our team who go above and beyond. Parents can nominate a member of staff who has made a real difference to their family's experience, and each winner is chosen from the wonderful feedback we receive.

This time, Hannah has been recognised for the fantastic comments shared by parents about the care, support and encouragement she brings to every lesson. Although Hannah is one of our Team Leaders, she's never too busy to make a positive impact on the swimmers and families she works with—and we're delighted to celebrate her hard work.

Thank you, Hannah, for everything you do, and thank you to everyone who takes the time to send in your lovely feedback. It means the world to our team! 💙

Join Captain Fin's World Swim Adventure, where every swimming lesson becomes a journey across the globe! 🌎

From icy Antarctica to tropical coral reefs, magical castles and the Wild West, swimmers will travel to a new destination each day, completing exciting games and challenges while continuing to build confidence, improve technique and develop essential swimming skills.

Every child will receive their very own Adventure Passport, collecting stamps as they complete each continent alongside Captain Fin on their summer expedition✈️📖

Open to both York Swimming Academy members and non-members, our crash courses are the perfect way to keep swimming progress moving throughout the summer holidays while making unforgettable memories in the pool.
