Our team did something incredible this weekend. The difference in experience was huge - for some of our fighters these were their first bouts, while some opponents already had 100+ fights.
Despite that, our team delivered very competitive fights. Final score: Iceland 5 - Poland 6.

Historic start for Team Iceland 🇮🇸🥊

We made a strong statement on the opening day of the Danas Pozniakas U19 Tournament in Vilnius - two fights, two wins.

Artem Siurkov showed discipline, smart tactics and heart in a tough bout against Estonia, securing a well-deserved victory.
Mihail Fedorets followed with a confident performance, proving his experience and level with a clear win over Lithuania.

Both boxers came back for their second bouts and, despite very close fights, came up just short of another victory. Strong performances, valuable experience, and lessons that will make us better.

Proud of our boxers, their mindset, and the work they put in every single day. This is just the beginning.

🇪🇺 European Boxing Championships
🥊 Viktor Zoega — Iceland

We’ve just competed at the European Championships, where Viktor got one of the toughest draws - a top Ukrainian boxer in 1st day of tournament. He fought brilliantly and was very close to winning, but the judges didn’t give it our way this time.
Still, this is a big achievement for Iceland. Competing at such a high level and showing that our fighters can stand with Europe’s best makes us incredibly proud.
This is just the beginning for Viktor.
