This Month’s Member Spotlight
Outside of Pivot, I am a critical care nurse and a graduate student at Samford. I joined Pivot in October 2021 after working through the COVID-19 pandemic; I needed an outlet where no one needed anything from me, and I could focus entirely on myself. Pivot was exactly what I was looking for. Pivot really allowed me to step out of my comfort zone and try things I never would have done. I have found a confidence I did not have before and an appreciation of what we can accomplish and how strong we can be! 💪🏽
What I enjoy most about Pivot are the lasting friendships I’ve made and the variety of workouts, particularly the Monday sessions and partner WODs.🧡🖤
To anyone considering joining, I would say: just come in. The workouts are functional and infinitely modifiable. I knew nothing about fitness when I started, but the coaching staff is excellent at helping with movements and modifications. If I could do it, anyone can. We often say that walking through the door is the hardest part, and it’s true. I came in not knowing anyone and found a wonderful community.
