The autumn equinox has many spiritual and traditional meanings that span over amazing belief systems, but one that sticks out is tied right into nature. As the first set of leaves began to fall this week, I wondered, did the trees select which ones they dropped? A moment to reflect today on the things that we're ready to drop. Maybe we drop them because they no longer serve us, or maybe we drop them because we realize it's inefficient use of our hearts or energy. Maybe we drop them because we never needed to hold them in the first place. Or maybe we simply put them on pause. As we settle in to start winter, do we really take a moment to nurture, repair, reflect, and revitalize? And if that's the intention, do the extra leaves drain us with extra work?
An invitation to share below or enjoy for a moment of reflection this evening or this week:
🍃 What leaves are you dropping first?
🌿 Are there old belief systems that are no longer necessary as you walk through this part of your life's journey?
🍃 Where have you been carrying extra burdens that are not yours to carry or hold anymore?
🌿 Where have you added weight to something light as a feather?
🍃 What stories could be cleared to allow your true self to shine through?
Happy Autumn Equinox, 💙Jessie Jessica A. Rodriguez
